Correct me if i'm wrong, kp6x starlets rear end are coil sprung standard.

So it would be easier to setup for drifting than any leaf sprung Corollas.

I find it funny that people think that leaf-sprung cars CANNOT slide or are easier to set up.

actually a kp61 would be harder to slide due to the short wheel base...well harder to hold a constant angle

solid axels = constant 0 degrees camber on rear and no deformation, which is the aim of most drift cars and the million different suspension parts you see bantered around as drift essentials

I think i've been misunderstood. I didn't say that leaf sprung cars cannot drift. Any rwd car can wether its IRS or live axle, leaf or coil sprung.

I drive & own a ke25 & its pretty damn easy to hang the rear end loose, but i'm no drifter.

But many of those top level D1 drifters do not choose to use cars with that sort of suspension.

Even the te27 Levin entered by TTE in the 1975 1000 Lakes Rally was live axle coil sprung. Then again maybe it was because of the rules.

Now wouldn't you love to have that sort of suspension in your leaf sprung car. I know i would.

Sure enough redwarf has many years racing his ke25 so i assume it would be quite easy for him.

Also i agree that the shorter wheelbase of the kp61 makes it harder to keep a constant angle as noted by anastasios.

I'm most probably wrong about all my assumptions.

i was on the same line as anasosis,

 

the shorter the wheelbase the quicker it will spin around, but i think this it bullshit because t18's are ment to have very similar chassie to the sprinter, tho a ke55 is 30mm shorter in wheelbase, (coming from an actul car book)
