The much loved magazine Driftbattle will no longer be published. As of issue 20 no more of these great magazines will be produced. Damn!!! Damn!!! Damn!!!

Well, I'm devistated.

Along with Hot 4's and High Performance Imports... to become a FULLER magazine. Think of the subscribers...

i liked drift battle because of there interest in Toyota's, allot of other magazines didn't mention corollas and the alike

Drift Battle was actually a pretty good magazine. I'm not into drifting much, but liked some of their technical coverage, and their event coverage was excellent. What's happened to the magazine? Is it merging with another, or just being canned entirely?

Driftbattle is gone completely! Ben Ellis has stated in his editorial, issue 20 that:

"I'm sure many readerswould be surprised to hear that I have never made a cent out of this magazine. The cost of producing it has always outstripped the budget we've had, espcially with all the overseas content we've included, and the difference has come out of my pocket. I didn't mind because I love the sport and being involved in the scene, but I couldn't go on pouring money down the drain forever... So issue 20 is the end. I won't be making anymore drift magazines, but i will keep on drifting."

omg, is this also for HPI or just drift battle, because i subscribe to both!

I have to agree... I'm not a huge drift fan but the tech coverage was great. Sad to see it go just for this!

 

When hot4s was mentioned... was this being canned/merged as well? Didnt quite get it.

only driftbattle is closing HPI will still be produced. I still had 12 issues of subscription left on driftbattle and i'm getting it transfered to HPI. I don't know about HOT4's as I'm not a "follower" as such.

ohhk, at least i get an extended subscription now! but i'm still bummed out

there has also been mentioned that HPI or zoom has only a year or so left before being canned aswell.

Damn, Zoom's actually a pretty good magazine too. I don't necessarily like every article, but when they've got a Corolla in there I'll generally buy it.

Out with the old, in with the new. What ever makes money these days...

Zoom is an awesome mag. pretty much any car can go in it, as long as they are absolutelly off thier tits!

 

no ricers in that mag.
