Taz_Rx Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 You need a "flooded" over Tassie too Shades. We had a town or 2 get a bit wet last week too. Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 And yet mid-coast NSW has been perfectly normal..... Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Something I threw together after a FB status that got out of hand. Quote
Trev Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 ^^^^HA^^^^ Since the floods destroyed my tools I decided to get a new kit, wanted a rolling box with a few tools so I got this: Has a 132 (something like that) tool kit which I will add to (including some of my tools that survived), will just use the basic tools in it until I have paid for it, was only $899. towe001 Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Mmmm, SP Tools, noice. 157 pieces sound better ? Quote
Trev Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Mmmm, SP Tools, noice. 157 pieces sound better ? The one I was looking at originally was 282 but didn't have the trolley, the trolley would have been 300 extra on top of the already price of $999, I was budgeting myself at 1k as that is all I can really afford at the moment, the tool guy I got it off is the one I got my last lot of tools from (KC and Teng) and I said I want a tool kit, what would you prefer and he said the SP so I got it. The tools I have will keep me going as I still have access to my cousins toolbox, will start getting speciality tools once I pay my bill. Quote
towe001 Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 When i was at my old job, we was getting rid of the kincrome brand and swapping over to sp cause of the better quality and better price. I was looking at one of the tools kits myself last year. But the only thing that put me off it was the width of the chest (it was too wide for the only real place to fit it in the garage) and i have just about all the tools i need. When you go in and see your tool man again ask him about the "Sumo Storage" tool kit. I was wishfully dreaming about the day that a truck turned up at home with it and i would have gladly knocked a wall down to fit it :lolcry: Quote

B.L.Z.BUB Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 So I should pass on the Kinchrome now? Had been replacing my crap tools with it, but if there is a better product thats cheaper! Man I'd love a good tool stand. 2 tool boxes and socket sets out the wazoo in a disorganised mess gets VERY annoying! Quote
towe001 Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 I made the mistake of telling amber about that sumo storage and i almost got backhanded with a frying pan :lolcry: Some of it is a bit dearer but mostly a little bit cheaper. SP is owned by Austech which is based in brisbane. Kincrome is apart of the Stanley group which is, urm, american from memory. The one thing i will say for kincrome, is the Lok-on range of sockets - they are the bomb. Have a rounded off nut that even a metrinch won't grip on ? The Lok-on will do it. But, the last i saw them, you could only get them as a set in either 3/8" or 1/2" drive. Talking this stuff almost makes me want to grovel back into my old job..... And yeah i know about mess of tools. I went out and got a Supatools (mid-brand of kincrome) 9 drawer tool chest, not as good as the ones with the roller drawers but it's good for me and made up a trolley to sit it on. Quote

My old service manager's other half was one of the sales men there (Acacia Ridge), funnily enough, our vans and the workshop ended up with scorpion compressors, who is sleeping with who :lolcry: Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 I have a tiny garage. I'm thinking Hard As Nails and a lot of magnets on one wall. That would be sweet. Quote
