Hey guys I'm new to this forum and rollas

I'm looking at Buying my girlfriend a ke20 and putting a half decent engine in it

I have a workshop that will be doing all the work for me so no dramas there

I would like some thoughts as to what i should put in it? I'm sure the workshop have there own ideas but public opinion is always good :hmm:

If it was for me i would put a rotor in it  but cos its for my girl I'm thinking a piston would be better, might even let her have a little turbo on it

First thing that came to mind was a Ca18 but mainly because i don't really know anything toyota

Any help or thoughts would be great guys

Beams 3sge, 2.0 litre twincam, 200hp straight up.

Rather pricey though, I wouldn't be expecting change from 5k for an engine/half cut.

whats your price range, and what power do you think your girlfriend can handle?

in a light car like a ke20, a mildly worked 5k (bolt in) or a stock 4age would have more than enough power to get ya into trouble.

a 4agze would have enough torque to overpower the chassis.

ok, since its gonna be your missus' car, presuming it'd need to be road legal. find out the legal size of the largest engine you're able to put into a ke20, then work from there. oh and yes, ^^^^^ up there is a good start, try searching a lil bit. there is a photo of early corolla curb weights somewhere, either here or toymods...

depends on budget and how quick your girlie drives, remembering they aren't the safest car. i wouldn't let my wife drive my ke20 in the wet, i don't want some P plater in a commonwhore losing control and smashing into her.
