i have a spare bonnet but am keeping the metal edge , if your interested?

Thought id give a little in site in to why Ive got a KE35.

my 1st car was a very nice KE35 coupe moss green only a bit of rust was in the rear boot (wheel arch)

as it was my 1st car i loved it so much.

heres a pic of it and my wife about 7-8 years ago..

then along came this one from Newcastle..

things that i need to do..

Ive got to cut the rust out of the bonnet or get a new onerolleyes.gif (no luck so far).

then see if i can fix the problem of the bonnet not laching over.

then see if i can find any other problems and go for a blue slip.

then put some clear on it.

i was making a dash for some one so at the same time i made my one as well...

made up 4 rings and hot glued them in..

made shore that they sat right be for glassing..

then fiber glassing...

then bit of sanding some primer and then some paint

and finished...

I was going to say that car looked a little familiar, nice work on the youtube vid, came across it the other day.

 

I like what you've done with the grill, in the process of doing something similar with mine as it was missing some of its teeth. What did you use for the mesh part/ how did you put it together?

Well that would be wrong.

The grille is factory and it came out in the early KE35's.(1975-1977) There were NO KE35's in 1979 in Australia. And if there were they would have had a late KE3x grille. In late 1978 the KE35 was replaced with the KE55s.

Well that statement is wrong in its self..

I said

apparently it only come out on the 79 KE35

If I had said

it defiantly 100% only came out on the 79 KE35

then your right to say I'm wrong.

 

Now

There were NO KE35's in 1979 in Australia.

As this is a 1979 KE35.
