ke70dave Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 1994 toyota lexcen, ie VR commodore. got it for free 5yrs ago, been driven into the ground. i think its done alright. but yes, economical write offs are a bit sad, but in this case, the whole car is 110% stuffed! Quote

Willis Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) A friend of mine who happens to be returning from a 6 month tour in Afghanistan tomorrow, found out that the person (one of his friends) getting the car back from storage had completely written off his S15. Probably the quickest car I've sat in. Bodywork wasn't perfect but mechanically, the car was insane. Low mount 30/71R of some kind, forged internals, absolutely everything. Not sure at what boost pressure but it made 300rwkw safely. The car was his pride and joy...What a welcome home present... Edited July 10, 2012 by Willis Quote

Willis Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) Leo, I'm not sure if it was an accident or not but the car is completely ʞ©$ɟed. Like almost beyond recognition so I reckon he may have been having a bit of fun with it... Stu, yeah it looks like he did...Hopefully he can salvage a bit of the drivetrain for a reshell but I have my doubts about it... Just sucks. I feel so bad for him.. It's_AUDM_Yo Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 Yeah man if I trusted someone with my car while I was away and I got back and it was ʞ©$ɟed. I would be snappin' necks. Quote
ke11restorer Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 Was it insured? Put motor in another S15? Quote
Willis Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) Same here Leo. Especially considering the amount of time and money spent on that thing... Edited July 10, 2012 by Willis Quote
