Felix, i do enjoy the job while the super isn't around and yeah i have been thinking of quitting but the thing is i don't really like the idea of leaving myself and the family high and dry with hardly any money while i'm finding another job. I've tried doing the thing of looking around while working but i'm just too loyal to the workplace i'm at even if i do hate the job

Towe, if you don't mind the place, how about the possibility of another position in the organisation? You might be able to talk to management, citing medical reasons for less physically demanding work and come to some sort of compromise.

 

Really though, you are the one who has to live with the long term effects of back problems.

WGMG: Finally finding the entire 4 series of The Pretender to find out that they are American region and won't play on anything in Australia so now they have to be returned. Its not really that bad but I am annoyed, must mean life for me is pretty good though.

Tume, do a search on google for a region unlock code for your dvd player. My missus has unlocked both our dvd players by doing this.

Yea or just play it on a computer with the region unlocked.

 

Pretty sure you can change each dvd player in a computer a couple of times so just buy 2 or something.

Cheers for that Felix, Did a quick search and all have asked for money to gain the 'information'.

 

Also the authority of the household (Parents) have said not to anyway and they will try and find an Aussie version eventually.

+1 pretty sure you can only change the region a max on 5 time if that, or atleast that what my two Panasonic DVD drives say

 

I'm pretty sure both DVD drives are set to different regions awell

This ^^^ is why I only buy cheap nasty chinese DVD players.

 

They play anything. NTSC, PAL, SECAM, any region, any file format, divx, mpeg, iso, whatever. Just chuck it in, and it plays.

 

The obvious downside is they shit themselves in 6 months in an anticlimactic display of communist failure, so there's always going to be a few days between movies while you wait for your brand new replacement $29 player to arrive from Shenyang province.

i think i only i paid ~$40 for my last DVD drive :) and that was a good 18months ago, and my last DVD player was a DSE special of $60 for the lounge room :P

Dvd drives are cheap as chips anyway and so are dvd players, you would be crazy to pay top dollar for any electronic equipment these days, there all probably made at the same company and will last just as long as the most expensive ones and most cheaper stuff has more features for less is waht ive found.
