That was quick.

The incident actually happened a while ago and the car number is now used on a 4x4 but they were able to find the guy that did it and he is suspended.

also...i think there should be NO such thing as a automatic license

Amen to that brother. A auto license is a license to steer only.

Also what is that redline oil des?

I say put skydrol in his eye if you want to inflict pain..LOL Redwarf will know what I mean. That shit is nasty leaves paint stripper, brake fluid etc to shame makes them look like water. IT is aircraft hydraulic fluid and yes I have had ti in my eye. I'm nearly in tears remembering it now..LOL

And people I hate it when they say I was doing 40 and it was more like 100. Helicopter pilots do this at work. Over temps etc when they happen the gauge has a red light come on only us techs can fix. And they say oh i never over temped it..LOL my ass the memory in the gauge tells us you did and by how much..LOL

So people with diabilities should get a manual licence then.

Maybe some people just feel more comfortable getting an auto licence.

I know of a guy who is epileptic. He shouldn't have a license. He had a fit while driving and almost killed himself and his 15 year old passenger as he wrapped his car around a tree. My brother too shouldn't have a license but he somehow does. He has a pacemaker and if that thing would jolt when he's driving he could cause some accident.

Even tho everyone has the right to a license, some probable shouldn't as they are a risk to people around them.

I can also tell you that if you go for a leak and forget to wash your hands BEFORE you go, all modesty goes out the window........

But again Trev yes on disabilities they can get an auto license BUT People who are able to use all 4 limbs SHOULD get a manual or at least learn in one so in an emergency they can save them self.

Most people with an auto licence can drive a manual but they just get an auto licence as thats what they are comfortable with so I'm pretty sure that in an emergency they would put there licence issues aside and drive, It would be alot different if you were drinking or disqualified, My brother inlaw has an auto licence but has driven manuals on the road before including my seca.

some people arnt comfortable with using a clutch. i was working at a mechanicals for a short while, there was an au XR6 falcon come in and the owner was a middle age lady and she wanted a lighter clutch put in that. i do admit it did seem quite heavy for a stock clutch, I'm not sure if it was any better with the new one or not. if she wanted that sort of car she would be better of with an auto one. i think that its just dumb to say that people should have to have a manual licence. just because someone is unable to correctly use a clutch doesn't mean that they can't drive at all. in an emergency most people call an ambo anyway.

Obviously there will be exceptions to every rule, however I think the 'auto only licence holders' we like to sink the boot into (myself included) are overwhelming majority who can only drive autos out of fear, laziness or inability.

My concern with these people is that if they cannot be bothered learning to drive manual, or just CAN'T, this indicates to me a sub-standard ability to drive in general.

Its a very broad generalisation I know, but we all know this type of person. It harks back to the 'lack of proper training' conversation in the recent speed camera thread.

I had two friends, that couldn't cope with manual, but are still capable drivers, ie can drive safely and not toatly retarded. Some people just carnt deal with more than two things at a time.
