demuire Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Waaaaaaaaaaaaaiting for exhaust shop to open... So let's see... What does Fook do? These days, sadly it's all about cars. Cars cars and more cars. Maybe a bit of photography thrown in, but really nto much other than cars. But what else does Fook like to do? Rock climbing. I used to climb a fair bit when I was at uni, and have climbed a fair bit of South East Queensland (inc Brooyar State Forest, Frog Buttress, Glasshouse Mountains, Kangaroo Point, among others), and a fair bit of the Blue Mountains, inc the Three Sisters. I've also climbed in Malaysia. I even have a reasonably large bouldering wall at home, just for some fun  But yes, due to my Honours year at uni, and now cars and work, I haven't had much time to get into climbing... Latin dancing. Used to dance a fair bit, mostly at Casablanca but also at a few other clubs. Haven't done it for a long time now though, and am very very very rusty. Am hoping to get back into this just socially, have even found a female friend who's interested in dancing with me, yay. Inline skating. Used to skate a lot when I was in high school, have done most disciplines inc speed skating, street hockey, street and ramps, but haven't done pipes. Stopped skating when I left high school, have skated just socially maybe half a dozen times since. Very rusty, but skating is like riding a bike, you never really forget the basics. Photography. I like photography, most kinds of photography actually. Am not as into it as Haikal, but I do like it. Hiking, camping, things like that. Yes, I like these too :) Squash. Used to play squash a fair bit in high school, and played for a little bit with some work mates about a year or two ago but haven't really played for awhile now. No, I'm not very good either. Fish. No, not fishing, I hate fishing because I cannot catch anything. I have a fish tank. All my fish died. Well, except for two. Hmm. Running. Used to run a fair bit, used to do mostly middle-long distance stuff. Injured both my knees, can't run anymore. Sailing. Used to sail a fair bit when I was in Malaysia, mostly monohull boats, mostly single or double seater (Laser's and Laser2's) Have sailed a cat once since I got here, don't like it as much as the monohulls... Umm... I think those are the things that I've gotten into lately, or really liked awhile ago. Quote
irokin Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I wanna buy a Remington 700 LTR .... one day... I have never fired a gun before but it looks fun.. and because i'm not one for killing things... I would shoot targets  please don't go postal on my ass Quote

Redwarf Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 If you love something, set it free. If it doesn't come back, hunt it down and kill it.... Quote

Medicine_Man Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 My interests? * Cars: Corollas!! (Thats why we are all here right?) * Computers: My job and hobby on the side, have a few regular clients I help with their computers on the side as well. * Fishing: Yes, one day I will arrange a rollaclub fishing trip, might even see if we can help those people who have never caught a fish before with their fishing skills. :fuzz: * Electronics: Soldering and wiring stuff together is always fun, looking foward to playing with auto electrics (EFI) soon! * BBQ;s: Who cares who with, be it rollaclub or family, as long as a sizeable portion of beef rib fillet is sacrificed on a hotplate i'm happy! * Beaching: Love going to the beach in summer, especially to give the optic nerves a good workout. * Game Consoles: XBOX - love it, can't get enough! N.E.S. - Got that retro feel, been collecting more games for it off ebay.. Probably more, but that should do for now.. :) Quote
demuire Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Haha, I've been out with someone I regard as the King Fisherman and still all I caught was a measly little squid (who also drenched me in black stuff) while him and my brother just kept reeling them fishes in... And then one time I got desperate so I went to a fish farm, where they have a big pond full of fish and is supposed to be a no-brainer definite-catch experience, and 6 hours later I was still with no fish :) I suck at fishing. Maybe I smell  Quote
TOMsGPTurbo Posted November 15, 2004 Author Report Posted November 15, 2004 (edited) haha Fook I feel your pain, I can sit for 4hrs and not one bite and hand the fishing rod to my g/f for a sec while I put my hat on or something... and she can pull in 2 in that time... I believe it is a lack of skill nothing more. Ok... I better add to my list or expand on myself a little more. I love nature, wild life, bush walking, mountain biking, hiking and exploring, I love to be out in the middle of the mountains and not see one man made object.. I also have a fish tank ! well... I bought it for my g/f ..as her birthday gift.. but I'm in charge of it.. It use to be nice planted until i bought a moon light gouarmi who ate most of my plants! I have 2 x Cat Fish, 2 x sharks, 7 odd Goruami's, 2 x rainbow fish and a couple of platties.. I intend to purchase more fish at a later date. .... its a 5.5ft tank so plenty of space. I love photography.. this would be my fave art that I do.. lately I've been getting into Black and White a fare bit and I'm planning to do a trip into Brisbane specially to take photos. I love sailing (Fook maybe I am your perfect match :) lol) however I haven't been on a proper sailing boat yet :fuzz: I sailed the South Passage which is a big old schooner. Lately I've been going out on my mates Mustang cruiser.. thats cool. Cryptozoology interests me a lot ... specially when it relates to historical events and uncovering stories from the past. A friend is currently writing a book and I have contributed to it with some of my personal stories. I take interest mainly in the Yowri (Yowie) and Big Cats.. however I have heard of big scale/skin like birds which is also interesting. I like engineering and sustainable energy, other methods of harnessing earths fuels. Also I like to read and think, actually a palm reader told me I think to much lol..(he was very acurate with my past too) I enjoy drinking an ale with friends and also cooking, I do enjoy gardening, I have a 12yr old Bonsai and a 2yr old bonsai... however I think something killed them both recently :P I also like to study Metorites. I enjoy music, everything from Dido, bach, chopin, prodigy, crystal method, Andrea Bocelli, tool and everything inbetween. (I also love women but one above all else  ) Edited November 15, 2004 by TOMsGPTurbo Quote
wyldephyre Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 See... I enjoy the process of attepting to fish. Whether or not anything is caught is largely irrelevant to me... just sitting in a boat in the middle of the ocean around sunset does it for me. Quote
Redwarf Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I'm with Haikal, except for me it was fishing off rocks in Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road. One of the highlights of my childhood, even though I caught stuff all. Sadly, you take it all for granted at that age. I feel old...... Quote
