Teddy Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 Upto $8 K to spend, not really fussed at this point in time, as we are going extreamly well to budget/ got things cheaper than we planed to get them for & getting extra things :) Why an Ae71? Because he (we) can. Its a first car, its a project car. Learning curve... and all that goes along with it.... Jason just turned 17. Overinvesting.... Well, put it this way. Alota younge blokes out there go and get cars which they cannot afford, and get a loan to pay off the car. Jason has worked hard and has saved up ALOTA money for this. Everything is a cash in hand deal. When the car is finished, it will have - Very custom, nice interiour - Custom dash & surrounding, reupolstered door trims and relating, blue interiour now black - New Rubber Seals all round - New paint job with ALL rust attended too - New Mags, Tires - New suspension, breaks - custom - Newly built 4agze motor - custom work, aswell :P - Upgraded fuel system - Basic, but adiquade Mp3 setup, integrated with alarm system - Centeral locking.. ETC ! Now, were can you buy a car thats got all of this, you know the car INSIDE OUT, (because you have done all the work ure self with most of the parts to the car have been pulled apart / checked / replaced / reconditioned) and hasnt left you in dept ? I know id rathter spend 8K on this, than spend $10K on a new di-crap's-su Charade... Quote

Super Jamie Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 controle arms (crap photo) Edit - Top arm is Ke70 Bottom arm is XT130 they're steering arms. the control arm is the thing attached to the ball joint in the above photo. bigger steering arms makes your steering slower :P Quote

Super Jamie Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 (edited) i think you'll find xt130 struts don't fit on ke70 steering arms. they do fit on te71 and ae86 (which have short power steerings arms, you want these) os maybe ae71. let us know :P measure them c-to-c and tell us how long they are. check this page out for options http://www.toycrazy.net/tech/struts.html Edited May 8, 2005 by Super Jamie Quote
