Hehe, not quite. It's basically like a Unichip, it interceps signals from sensors and modifies them and passes the new values to the computer.

It all comes down to the application and your budget..

when i get this 4ke setup from wazza in NZ, I'm seriously thinking about saving for a cusom fuel rail, larger injectors + Wolf Setup... etc etc

 

I don't wanta go 4age, too much hassel, not cost. 4ke setup with wolf would be a great learning curve :) - i love the idea of plugging my 1983 corolla into my 2002 computer and tuning it up one day heheheh

I still believe a wolf is still overkill for a standard 4K-E, if you were turbocharging it I could see a point, but still, thats a lot of money for just an ECU to run it..

i'd get that adaptronic thing, it looks like it's really good. after reading that page, i'm off microlebs. i'd be inclined to get my hands on a fuel only haltech

wtf, yeah u never see road any road driven vehcles with microtechs

no, but they do go "out of tune" as the needs of the engine change, and you have to spend more money getting your microleb dyno tuned again. trust me, my best mate has one
