irokin Posted July 4, 2008 Report Posted July 4, 2008 Brand new SARD 700ccs are only about $90 each ex japan. Other than that the biggest top feed low imp factory injector I can think of is GTRs (440cc) or maybe RX7 but they range from 460cc -> 680cc in both high and low impedance. Quote
Jason Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 You can run all injector types off the ms :D Quote
flat out Posted July 7, 2008 Author Report Posted July 7, 2008 so guys to dummy up some injectors what should i use, gtr ones sounf like the go and a fuel rail type, r31 are fuelrail/hose/injector type but would be easyest to obtain, any one know what size v6 commodore ones are and if they will dummy up well? Jason Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 There was a great site with injector pics and specs on all nippondenso injectors, trying to find it again. Lost it when formated :D Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 any one know what size v6 commodore ones are and if they will dummy up well? commo run a 13mm head, most jap stuff is 11mm. Gti-r pulsar are 440 as well, they seem to pop up pretty cheap? I would probably try to stick to 11mm tops, just cos theres more options that way. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 This the page you speak of Jason? http://autospeed.com/cms/A_0102/article.html?popularArticle 13bt injectors are 550cc and there's 4x of them. 12at injectors are 880cc as there is only 2x. Common upgrade for 13bt's is to replace the secondary (or all) injectors with the 880cc items, hence there is always 550cc's for sale everywhere. 7MGTE injectors would be a good size at 430cc. As for the fuel rail. I think you may be better off measuring the port spacings of the 3t, and see if you can't find a similar sized 4 cylinder with a rail you can use as is. Would Jamie (Q's bro) have some sort of T series fuel rail laying around still? Quote
Jason Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 It had all the info but thumbnails of the injectors them selves ! Quote
SeptemberSquall Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 Yo, What displacement are you planning to run? What compression? What cam timing and intended power band? What application? Fast road, khana, rally, hillclimb, circuit? <--- tick all that apply if you're running <1800cc and <7000rpm i would be hesitant to open up the ports and bowls too much you don't want to compromise intake charge velocity, fuel dropout and poor VE (lousy cylinder filling) can result amongst other things you definately won't need to worry about meat in the head around the ports and bowls for your app on 3T-C head unless you're trying to take heaps out for: > very high rpm OR > serious forced induction OR > serious displacement increase OR > combination of the above hope this helps as for running injection, i'd be getting a redline dual DCOE manifold, efihardware.com or injection perfection throttle bodies/fuel rail kit, and going that way for fuel injection on your project all off the shelf, bolt up and someone to go back to if it winds up smegged. going custom yourself means your dick in your hand if something goes wrong and can be more expensive than just buying the right stuff in the first place.
