I've never been able to ride in a ambulance.

 

Having 2 older brothers, by the time I started cracking my head open my parents just loaded me into the car and buzzed off down the street to the hospital. I now have 2 scars on my chin, 1 on my lip and 1 on the back of my head.

 

I miss being a kid. Sitches are cool...not having to work is cooler!

We went to see a family friend in hospital yesturday.

 

She's in her mid-thirties and in intensive care because her liver's failed. She's already had two transplants, the first when she was 13, the second two years ago after she had a baby and its already screwed again. She's had a valve put in to keep it going until they find a new liver, but now her kidney's are failing and its really not looking good.

 

They say because it shut down so quickly and it would be her third transplant her body isn't handling it too well and unfortunately there's not too much hope that she'll survive this time.

 

I feel so sorry for her husband, he works in the mines at Roxby and he can't go to work while she's sick, they have a three year old son and he's up to his eyeballs in debt, I don't know how he'll cope if the worst happens.

 

The next chance you get, PLEASE rgister yourself as an organ donor, your body doesn't need your bits once your dead and someone like Ange might, you could save so many people's lives and you hardly even need to make an effort.

 

I just hope they find a liver for her soon. She's a battler.

I encourage everyone to become an organ donor, and to make that fact known to your relos.

I've seen seven pounds. I don't get where the pounds come into it but yeah it was a good movie.

I went to the Docs today, ive had a bad pain that comes and goes under my lift rib cage. apparently i have torn the muscle away from the back of my rib cage slightly (not sure how it happened but ive been lifting heavy stuff around the shed lately) so yeah no heavy lifting for me for a few weeks and i have to live on nurofene till the pain settles down a bit.

Ouch that sounds painful! Add lots of alcohol to the nurofene, will definately work better! :cool:
