The GVM is just over 4000kg, it can legally carry about 2500kg. My little 740kg Sprinter should be fine. :fuzz:

I just bought a new ally tray and the workshop that did the work on my Sprinter are making a new steel frame for it to be mounted on. They'll also be installing the electric winch and tie down points. :)

how big is the tray going onto it?

The trays just big enough for old Corollas, the truck is geared to carry a load, travels fine at between 90 - 100kph loaded. 1st is very short, second is long, third is short and fourth is long, with no load on you take of in 2nd. Its wont be supper fast but it'll do the job. :y:

Finally got the little truck back, here's a few pics. Still a couple of things left to do but at least its home now!

And a couple more, the ramps which have been mounted on the side and the electric winch to pull the car up.

Man thats awesome, $2500 for a corolla carrier. So handy. Seems like a sensible way to go, much better than a trailer.

interesting idea using alloy ramps and tray, what sort of speed do you get out of the truck loaded?

I have just done the exact opposite sold my truck and built a car trailer.
