trav_555 Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 I would say try and see if you can drive different cars with different setups and manifold/carby setups from memory the length of the intake changes your torque *don't hold me to that though* but i have heard good responses from people using these manifolds and it is the one i will go for when i change to twin sidies hope thats a bit of help Travis Quote
maxyboy55 Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 from memory the length of the intake changes your torque *don't hold me to that though* Travis the length of the intake changes what rev your car makes more tourque, by harmonics/resonant pulses i.e. the air that has gone into the engine creates a vacuum in the runner, the air rushing into the runner to replace the vacuum meets the valve/s as they are opening, makeing volumetric efficiencies of up to 130% the longer your runners, the lower the rev this occurs  Quote
trav_555 Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 sweet cheers for the explanation  Quote
kangaroosa Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 I used to use the redline one with my dellortos. Worked fine. I had mine years ago when they were reasonably priced though. Last time i heard they were retailing for around $320 Unfortunately you don't have alot of options in regards to manufacturers when it comes to sidedraft manifolds for K engines. Quote

Redwarf Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 (edited) DCOE is a side draft. Some of us believe that normal Webers are side draft. Edited March 2, 2009 by Redwarf Quote
