I'm only repeating what scotty(ke355) told me, cos he was contemplating doing an ls1 conversion for his new project. I tend to believe him actually. On the subject of ke355, the guy in qld who bought it apparently got it registered to drive on the street, not sure if that means he got it engineered or not....

The flux capacitors not the hard part... getting the 1.21 gigawatts to it can be tricky :)

yea the flux capacitor arnt hard to find they made heaps in the 80s.

Or an ls1, they're lighter than an sr20.

 

Says more about the boat-anchor SR20 than the LS1, really (which also is a boat anchor, just bigger and apparently lighter :lol:)

hey all the 253 is in with a 3sp trimatic. i need to send the car off for a full cage and the body reinforced so it doesnt split in two with its new found power. am hoping to make 300+bhp when done. ill take some pic soon and put them up

Total Dressed Engine Weight for an Ls1 is Auto. - 457.6 lbs. (208 kg) (Flexplate) and Manual - 497.2 lbs (226 kg) (Pressure Plate and Fly Wheel), not sure exactly how much just the block weighs..

hey guys,been sleeping for a long time....ive done 308s into ke's with no fire wall mods and on a low budget.....just dropped a smallblock chev into one and had dramas...yeah there narrower,but exhaust is a headache and firewall has to be cut..(use 2mm plate minimum) i moved mine a foot back so dissy is under plenum..runs a turbo 400 so made new trans tunnel..bit of work but well worth the effort.... the thing screams. madtoy lives on!
