yeh i see two ke25's and two ke20's one of the ke25s looks to be hit up the bum.

That place looks close to my idea of heaven... just need a giant workshop to the side... and a well stocked bar in the workshop :P

Flynns wreckers, just west of cooma. An amazing place, but he can be a bit hit and miss with wanting to sell stuff, and prices. Its been a while since i was there, but there were a few 20s and 30s. My guess is that they are still there!

 

Do a search on Flicker for flynns. Theres a ton of pics on there of all sorts of cars.

There was only about 8 KE1# and KE2# series Corollas but about 30 MS4# and MS5# series Crowns, mostly wagons and a few utes. Wayne, the guy who runs the place is the son of the original owner. Flynn's was the original Toyota dealer in Cooma many years ago. I was told he was a bit iffy about people wondering through and also about selling stuff but we all turning up in our old Toyotas and introducing ourselves made him feel at ease. He charged us $10 each to have a wonder, gave us a white marker pen to mark any parts we were interested in and just said if we open something make sure we close it.

Thats only what i was told but Wayne was more than helpfull when we approached him about some bits. Still don't know what the cost will be so at this stage can't coment on his pricing.

The thing to remember about Cooma is that is a low rainfall area. I think the snowy-mountains shield it . I Bought 3 1920's cars from cooma in remarkable condition for age. a part or car with less rust has to be good.

 

If you go there take your jumper its a bitterly-cold place.

yea sounds very similar to this guy named dudley who has about 500 old schoolers on a property in the barossa valley, just out side nuriootpa.

 

don't know the history of the place but he wont sell certain cars and he is so expensive on parts... he wanted $250 for a mini door!!!

But he prefers to send cars to the scrap heap then sell them. Although he said he sells them for around 500 depending on condition etc etc...

Nice website Tally should be proud. Id like to take one of these old rusty relic exploration cruises oneday but not atm as ive just been approved for my 12x6m shed.

 

I'm going to the bendigo swap meet next year with 1000 bucks and a trailer as a newbie to start from there.
