Felix Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 (edited) mmm, these are nice. a couple on a twin aisan manifold would work well. anyone think they can work out what they are? :D Edited April 29, 2005 by Felix Quote
Super Jamie Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 (edited) they're obviously some kind of downdraft on a v8 in a hotrod. not knowing much about downdrafts that aren't aisans, i'd guess i have no idea :D they look like they're on a spacer that goes down to a 4bbl manifold tho, wierd edit: they're not carters are they? you'll come out with something like they're aisans :D Edited April 29, 2005 by Super Jamie Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 that's a small block chevy engine, those are rochester carbs, probably what came stock on late '50s early '60s pontiacs that car has some kind of computer control; note the air temp sensor in the rear carb Quote
Felix Posted April 30, 2005 Author Report Posted April 30, 2005 LOL, i'm not giving anything away until tonight :D Quote
Nitephyre Posted April 30, 2005 Report Posted April 30, 2005 it's your new engine, innit? carn, fess up! :D Quote
CUCUY Posted April 30, 2005 Report Posted April 30, 2005 (edited) very nice weber DGV setup :D if not weber, i'd say rochester or possibly carter. very common on all the old school hot rods with flatheads and hemi's. Edited April 30, 2005 by CUCUY Quote
1G-GTE KE70 Posted April 30, 2005 Report Posted April 30, 2005 KE70 carby's plus 1 can of chrome spraypaint and 3 modified dump pipes of an S13 silvia... am I right??? Quote
Felix Posted April 30, 2005 Author Report Posted April 30, 2005 you are looking at the latest in efi setups from Moon it would have to be the coolest efi setup i've ever seen. makes me want to get hold of a heap of metal epoxy and attack a set of twin aisans. Quote
Super Jamie Posted May 1, 2005 Report Posted May 1, 2005 no f@$kin way :D how expensive would they be. you can buy dcoe throttle bodies for the price of a tuned rebuilt carb Quote
Old fella Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 G`day mate, I`m all but certain that they are Stromberg 97 dual throats. They came standard (One only)on Ford Customline 272 Cubic Inch V8`s from 1951 to 1958. Edlebrock made manifolds to suit twin, triple, quad, six and eight. They were a very popular choice back in the days of ford Zephyrs, early falcons etc for a quick power upgrade. They are as scarce as the proverbial these days, but they still turn up on old school hotrods. Cheers. p.s. If you`re keen on home made injection, have a look at the old holden/valiant strombergs. Up to inch and seven eight, single throat and simples as to work on. Quote
Felix Posted September 5, 2010 Author Report Posted September 5, 2010 They are not Stromberg carbs. The are MOONJECTION Stromberg-Style EFI injection bodies from Mooneyes. :lolcry: Quote
altezzaclub Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Well, it certainly sorts out the usual "how to inject your K motor" questions!! Damm they are nice! Quote
