Anyone know if there are any KE55's or 30's up at the Northern yard went down south Monday, just pilfered KE70's.

When i was at the lonsdale yard on tuesday there was a 5k engine in a hiace in the first row on the right as you walk in ;)

Those hurricanes were 5 stud

Also, the new Gillman yard has 2x ke30s (both average condition), 1x ke70(pretty good condition), 2x st141 corona, 1x rt142 advanti(22re)corona and 1x ra60 liftback celica (21rc and w57 gbox)

Ah, you got down there for the VIP night?

 

I was gonna head down, but didn't.

Didn't even notice thought I would let you all know.

Just had a look around Gillman UPI. Not a whole lot there, a KE55 sedan, KE30, 3 KE70's. At least one was auto and one had an aircon setup and roof racks. One of them also had a very straight looking flat front setup. Also saw a XT130 but the hubs and LCA's were gone already.

Down at Lonsdale today there was a rusty ke55 coupe, a 5k in a white liteace van, a ke70, a mx62 and what looked like a ke30 sedan about to be brought out into the yard.

yeah sedan had no engine

So I went back to Gilman to check out the AC on the KE70. I wanted the bracket as I now have an SC12 that I'm thinking of fitting. In the process of pulling out the bracket I noticed lugs on the head and thought, that's weird!

 

Sure enough, the bronze coloured KE70 up there is fitted with a 5K and a 5 speed gearbox! So get in there for an easy upgrade. It also has some weird thermo fan fabbed up along with a home made controller!

 

The KE55 has now gone, but they have a slanty 70 wagon and a drift pig 70 instead. Nothing interesting in either of them, but there are choppies in the back of the pig and choppies in the front of the wagon if that's your thing.
