yeah old 4ks don't die. they just get really slow

 

not entirely true. my old 4k just gave up the ghost. Unexpectedly one day. Still can't figure out what went wrong.

this has happened to me a few times, ill put money on it being the timing chain.

A few things I did tonight.

 

Got the rear seats out of the Swift my boss is stripping and tweaked them to fit in.

 

Had to cut off these.

 

And the bolts where it mounted.

 

Looking good.

 

Where the red arrow is ill extend the vinyl

Blue arrow ill make an insert.

 

 

Also stole the window washers

 

Just had to be one brace in the way :laff:

 

 

So yeah... What do you guys reckon about the rear seats, still need to tweak them in a bit more and attach them in properly.

Nah the squirters are in the scuttle panel.

ahh i see, mine had them in the bonnet, must have been fitted by someone

yeah mine wernt in the bonnet either but ill be putting them there because the old ones looked absolutly rediculous

Picked up ye olde 5K today and drove it straight to a car wash.

 

 

 

Head off, and it wasnt an issue. Gasket looked brand new. No rust.

Looked like a POS but it opened up without a struggle.

Nice pick up there, looks like an almost flat top piston motor going by the head.
