oh what a nissan feeling! Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 these are off a mid 80s lancer. cable operated The bit you attatch the glass to motor So you mount the peice of bar vertically in the car, mount the motor, wire up. Quote
greenmac80 Posted May 3, 2010 Author Report Posted May 3, 2010 ok so you'd actually need to make a custom bracket for the glass as well.. hmmm interesting i imagine lining it all up will be difficult but not impossible. i have some glass laying around i may see what i can come up with. if i come up with something good i'll do a guide. hoorah for u pull it being open very soon. greenmac80 Posted May 3, 2010 Author Report Posted May 3, 2010 yes but your left with a whole in the door trim and that pin for the winder sticking out.. they provide caps but still. i'd prefer to try and mount this type of unit. Quote

greenmac80 Posted June 2, 2010 Author Report Posted June 2, 2010 well decisions decisions. with my camber issues its quite annoying. i currently have +2 degrees camber and this is due to the cressida strut and ra60 steering arm combo. also i've noticed that i can't go much lower without inducing bumpsteer. so it turns out that RCA's are available. so on the shopping list for the car will be otomoto kits. coilover conversion + camber tops and RCA's i already have short stroke shock absorbers so yeah... ergh $680 later. save save save.! greenmac80 Posted June 6, 2010 Author Report Posted June 6, 2010 Lol Dude i am an amatuer trust me..!!! haha i jst like to try new things and i like to be or get good at everything i try. so for now small update. i've wrapped the back section of that console i made... tis looking good.! i need to plump it out a bit with some foam but the overall look is gonna be insane. picked up a wiring loom for the 4e so i can start nutting that out. also picked up a tow bar for the bitch.. bit more rear end stiffness and bike rack for some bmxican riding should be good. gonna powdercoat it to make it look nice! cheers, Luc Quote
greenmac80 Posted June 8, 2010 Author Report Posted June 8, 2010 ok so here is a drift car i painted the other wk. couple week b4 hand the dude bent it up pretty bad. no before pics tho spewin. anyway here it is in primer. and in 2 pack the colour is called oyster. turned out pretty good. few runs but they'll jst get buffed. first time i've done a straight 2 pack job. quite a bit different. still need to get daytime pics. greenmac80 Posted June 8, 2010 Author Report Posted June 8, 2010 and here is the progress on my console. i'm gonna pull this apart and try a thinner foam to reduce the bulkiness also finish off some stitching. the handbrake is gonna be the tricky part. Quote
greenmac80 Posted July 10, 2010 Author Report Posted July 10, 2010 console idea most likely going to be scrapped. just gonna go for a standard one me thinks. update for today.. fitted a Brand new pajero MC and the brakes feel really really good now. also fitted gh sigma LCA's with new balljoints and urethane bushes. this managed to bring my camber from +2 back to -0.5 degrees.. and my castor from +1.5 to +3 degrees. much happier with the way it performs now. it performed well before but now its better. 13BT_KE20 Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 should handle HEAPS better now, nice work. If your arms can take it try dial in a bit more caster, I'm running about +3 atm as well but will be looking at closer to 4.5-5 with the new set-up Cheers Quote
