Rob: Sorry, was at the bank at the time getting my CTP extended for this coming weekend, and it was a silent number so I couldn't call back :P

And yes, Provisional Results are out on the BSCC website

And the Rollaclub contingent:

Fook Lee / Pauline Thompson (Car 331)

5th outright, 1st in class

14th outright in speed events

4th outright in navigation

Melinda Both / Peter Stringfellow (Car 701)

19th outright, 7th in class

11th outright in speed events

29th outright in navigation

Random information:

There were 17 cars in class 3, 18 cars in class 7.

Outright

1st place: 1995 Lancer Evo 3

2nd place: 1970 Datsun 240Z

3rd place: 1996 Suzuki Baleno

Speed

1st place: 1970 Datsun 240Z

2nd place: 2005 Subaru WRX STi

3rd place: 2002 Subaru WRX STi

:bash: :y: :P

I will be there, or will die trying

I'll hold you to that!

I hope everyone is still this enthusiastic this time next year, I've been trying to get everyone to do these events for a few years now!!! (or maybe just last year... I forget).

Navigators do tend to be rather scarce, so start looking early! And I would recommend doing a few night runs prior to get a feel for the sorts of things you need to do, and possibly do Coastal Challenge in July. Much much harder navigation, but if you get through that, Queensland Challenge will be a walk in the park :P

Also, rumour has it there will be another touring road event up at Kilcoy in November...

We need to see a bigger Rollaclub contingency next year!  :P

What? You expect people to start running around starting fires and shit?

con·tin·gen·cy  (kn-tnjn-s)

n. pl. con·tin·gen·cies

  1.

        1. An event that may occur but that is not likely or intended; a possibility.

        2. A possibility that must be prepared for; a future emergency.

  2. The condition of being dependent on chance; uncertainty.

  3. Something incidental to something else.

I think you mean "contingent"

contingent

n 1: a gathering of persons representative of some larger group; "each nation sent a contingent of athletes to the Olympics"

Fook Lee / Pauline Thompson (Car 331)

5th outright, 1st in class

14th outright in speed events

4th outright in navigation

:P

who rocks :bash: :y: :P

Congratulations Fook, you were just amazing on the speed tests!!! HOW do you get that thing to GO SO DAMNED FAST???

Major and special kudos to your navigator. HUGE presents are required there, absolutely F L O G G E D us "experienced" sorts.

Well done, I'm truly pleased for you both

*blush*

Thanks Mel :y: I'll pass on your congratulations to Pauline too :P She did extremely well, far surpassed all my expectations and then some :D She's absolutely stoked too

Heh, although during the speed stages (Prince Henry Heights and Wivenhoe in particular) she was going "oh crap oh crap oh crap" all the way :P She couldn't see at Gatton (helmet slipped forward and covered her eyes), I recon she would have been saying that all the way too, especially when we got airbourne at the dips :bash:
