LukeAE71 Posted February 25, 2010 Author Report Posted February 25, 2010 The Toyoglide is pretty cool, but my experience with them has been that most of them are rooted  I wonder if a Toyoglide would survive behind a 5K :lolcry: Quote
philbey Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Mine used to get up O halloran hill with no trouble, usually about 90kmh, I'd be passing people! Having said that I had to get a run up from Flagstaff hill road intersection and if I got caught at secombe road lights it got a whole lot harder! Quote
LukeAE71 Posted February 26, 2010 Author Report Posted February 26, 2010 What motor was that with though Philbey?? Quote
Budowski Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Yep my KE25 loves the Toyoglide but 3k love it what stop it from breaking. Quote

philbey Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 that was my old 3K. Used to make some funny noises and it ended up breaking a head gasket but it went alright! Quote
LukeAE71 Posted February 28, 2010 Author Report Posted February 28, 2010 (edited) that was my old 3K. Used to make some funny noises and it ended up breaking a head gasket but it went alright! Ah cool :y: :laff: :laff: I ordered some goodies for this car over the weekend, will have some progress pics once they all arrive :hmm: Oh and some pics from All Japan Day Edited March 28, 2010 by LukeAE71 Quote
LukeAE71 Posted March 15, 2010 Author Report Posted March 15, 2010 Spose it's time for an update.. No work has been happening to the car I have just been collecting parts. I have gathered almost all the parts for a manual conversion. Some parts like pedal box etc are being sent from interstate as I just couldn't find them here. I am picking up a 5 speed box, flywheel and clutch tomorrow night which should complete the picture. Then I just got to get the motivation to install it all. I have also started collecting parts for my front suspension, just waiting for them all to get here. Also picked up a Pioneer Head Unit which I will install along with some speakers I already have for it. Pics once some shit starts arriving but it's all on the way >| I just need to collect a Jap KE30 Diff now for the axles :lolcry: I'm going to do a 4 x 114.3 swap all round Quote
ke30dude Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Your tailshafts courier should be booked today, its all packed and ready to go >| Quote
LukeAE71 Posted March 23, 2010 Author Report Posted March 23, 2010 Not an update as such... I keep thinking of selling up and taking a break from cars for a bit, focus on other things :P I don't know, if someone offered me like $5K for the car and all the parts I would find it hard to say no :jamie: I just have so many plans for this thing but :sob: Quote
Chobis Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 Not an update as such... I keep thinking of selling up and taking a break from cars for a bit, focus on other things :P These thoughts happen to meet from time to time. But I always get drawn back into cars again. I got down to 2 cars a few years ago. Then I went on a spree and got back up to six again. Now at a comfortable 5. :jamie: Maybe just roll it to the back of the shed and keep all the bits you have stockpiled and get back to it at a later date. I'd like to see it take shape in the form you have planned for it at some point though. Quote
13BT_KE20 Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 whenever i lose motivation i always tell myself the car isnt costing me anything to just sit there. So i just leave it until i have the time/motivation/money to do it. Push it into the back corner of the shed and leave it there till the time comes, you know you will regret selling it Quote

Push it into the back corner of the shed and leave it there till the time comes, you know you will regret selling it You summed it up pretty well :jamie: At the moment it seems like it's just money money money and not alot of progress. My problem revolves around wanting to do it once and do it well which is proving costly. Letting it simmer for a bit makes sense :P Quote
