Trev Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 (edited) Do I need to vote :lolcry: For those that take me the wrong way, my 1st corolla (ke36) was k powered and the k motor is very reliable, I just hang shit on people because of the 'my k motor with 10 psi is faster then your stock 4age' So never take it to heart. Hiro Protagonist Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Voted AE, because if I could only have one then it'd definitely be an AE (and, well, that's the situation I'm in now). No qualms in having a KE for a second, weekend or project car though, but not as the sole daily. Quote
SLW42 Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 I would prefer a kexx over an aexx for one kexx is rwd and i need and love it, two aexx is fwd except the ae71 and i love rwd haha Quote
Trev Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 AExx V's KExxI'd rather a . . . KExx [ 6 ] ** [60.00%] AExx [ 4 ] ** [40.00%] Total Votes: 12 Someone been playing with the results? 4 + 6 is 10. Quote
irokin Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Someone been playing with the results? 4 + 6 is 10. No, null votes are counted as a vote. The percentage is based on actual votes cast, not total votes. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Hmm... why bother with this poll, I'm sure we all know the result before a single vote was cast :D RWD for the win!! Quote
Trev Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 No, null votes are counted as a vote. The percentage is based on actual votes cast, not total votes. Didn't think of that. Quote
Kid-Ae Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 I figure that both have their own qualities. As much as I HATE the auto in my AE, I love it's compact exterior and the funny looks I get with the exhaust screaming as I plant it coming out of the street (mind you, very slowly..) KE's are better for playing with AE's are better for simply driving around Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 This vote will depend on which car you have now, I vote KE, but 18 months ago I would of voted AE. Its like voting on who your best friend is. Its the coolest person(car) you are with at the time. Quote

Its like voting on who your best friend is. Its the coolest person(car) you are with at the time. True true, at the moment i'm sitting my arse in a ke30 and even knowing that its got its quarks (rattles etc etc) and that i'd love to give it a few loving taps with my steel caps i still enjoy driving it. My son loves the thing to death... My last rolla was a ae82 seca twinky and that was a love-hate relationship. Loved driving the car but i hated the motor. But the only thing i liked about the motor was that it never sounded like the typical 4age burning-cat-in-a-tin-can exhaust note. An old boss of mine even commented on it that it sounded like sex. The only bitch i have to say about the 5k that's in the '30 is that the manifold bolts are a pita to get to. Whereas the 4age was nothing more then a pain in the arse. The reason i own a ke30 is cause i not only like the style but it has four doors, a boot and an easy to work on "k" motor. Its practical for me going to and from work and tooling around to streets when i feel like it. Some days i wish i didn't toss the auto but. If i was more into ripping into the twisties etc etc i'd have gone for another ae82 seca or the sedan (or ae1xx) cause of the independent rear suspension. I can't vote cause i like both Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Ironic that all the people mentioning AEs being FWD are forgetting the AE86, arguably the most well known single Corolla model...... Quote
