Because my car was white and I painted it white I really didnt mind doing mine a close door but if you going a different colour I would suggest and open door

so i may be getting the tyres done in a thoughtnight rims done paint done

 

the type of white will be pearl white with a black front end (the bonnet area and the suruondings like toranas appraently)

 

then the fun begins i guess i might just ditch the freakin afm tacho and steering wheel :)

 

so it wont be long now :) and i will have it back :) :)

UPDATE: ok so today we only got time to paint all the trim door handles key holes n shit

 

oh and the rims are all black and shiny :rolls: scratched the silver lip idea :) looks good though just black :)

 

any sugestions on a tyre size with a nice stretch

Ma61 rims are 7's right?

 

I ran 155/70's and 165/70's and they both give good stretch. Even 175's aren't bad

If you try to stretch on 7's it looks gay to be honest need at least 8's, unless you go something like 145/60R14 but would handle like shit!

What's the point of running dangerously skinny tyres just for the "stretched look" when the rims you've got are narrow enough that a normal size tyre will fit under the guards anyway?

In my case i need stretched tires to get the wheels under the guards at the front so i can turn without ripping my flares off

 

The rears have minimal stretch.

 

But they're not dangerous? I've run 185's on 8" rims for 18 months with no problems at all? They seal fine and hold the bead properly.

 

And they were fitted by a tire store so can't be too bad..

 

That said there are exceptions. Like 195/50 on a 10" rim

Yeah why? 7" wheel run a 195 and have some good handling. I can understand stretching a tyre if your running 10" wheels and need to clear guards.

Dangerous as in not enough grip. 155 might be fine for grandmas tiny shopping trolley car, but if like most kids, you plan on driving this thing fairly hard, put some decent tyres on it. They're pretty much the only safety feature your t18 will have. On the road I use a 195 RE001 on a 7.5" wheel. Has a slight stretch and is good for moderately hard driving. I use softer 205s though when I need to push the car a bit harder.

i just thought about it then the rims are inside the guards well and truely so no need for stretch :blush:

 

but don't they look good in black :)
