TRD ke70 Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 i use Azureus, which is a bit torrent client. you can get everything including Autodata CD's and some car manuals. music, porn, programs and movies and soooo much more. Quote
Dan Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 (edited) Try iMesh. I reckon its better than Limewire, and easier to use. It comes up with auto-search functions (suggests what the rest of the name could be, only using file names off the server.). It searches both the iMesh and Gnutella networks. Everything that I search for is there, including software, audio and video. I reckon its the best thing to use my 5gig of downloads each month. That said, I'm downloading about 10 songs at the moment... www.imesh.com EDIT - Need to put the link on.... I'm a dumb bastard. Edited October 13, 2005 by sidewayz1 Quote
kangaroosa Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 Just be aware of the piracy and copyright laws though. Having said that, i've tried heaps of different programs over the years and am currently using "Bearshare". Its part of the Gnutella network. Its ok, there is alot of people with some good files and programs. But, i think it contains spyware and adware because my computer is running like a bag of crap since i installed it. Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 Downloading free MP3's is bad mmkay Those poor millionaire artists losing valuable dollars from you horrible people downloading their music haha Quote
Super Jamie Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 i found imesh to be annoying, it's very system invasive and full of spyware Quote
Ruts Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 limewire rocks!!! specially the 'pro' versions Quote
Xany Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 ^^^^ what he said... also using azureus......good stuff that :lmao: Quote
Dan Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 Download Limewire free then search for Limewire Pro.... hehe. iMesh works for me.... Don't really worry bout the spyware myself, I reckon they all have it, or what you downloads got it. Norton doesn't pick up iMesh as a threat... Quote
Raven Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 (edited) I use Ares as I put Jamie onto it and it generally has everything there. I also use Azureus as well. Both excellent programs and the good thing about Ares and Azureus is they are both spyware free. The maximum spyware files i receive now are about 3 a month, if that. Maybe this should be in a different topic but i use NOD32 Antivirus Systems (www.nod32.com.au) Download the trial there and then ask me whats next :( For spyware, i use Ewido Security Suite (www.ewido.net). Both of these run rings around Norton Internet Security and they are no-where near as resource hungry. Let me know how you go. Mick =) Edited October 14, 2005 by AE35 Quote
