I've been toying with the idea of using a 4wd diff lock for a fair while, just gotta do some research and see what i could make fit.

 

Would be wicked on the street, Open diff when you don't want to drift, Spin 2 when you want too ;)

Do those 4wd wagon corollas have a diff lock? Like the tercel style wagons?

I'm not too sure, might do.. A guy i went to college with has a ae95 and that had a diff lock.. hmm ;)

Got stuck into the body on the ke10.

Also, New wheels for the ke10, 13x8 widened steelies, 5" dish ;) (will be stripped an sprayed)

Looks good, No idea how you spend 60+ hours on one guard though.

 

Wheels are good, Why don't you have a look at Diamond racing rims... " 14 x 8" $82.75 " per rim. Cheap as custom made rims any size any stud pattern!

Yeah i've seen the diamond wheels

 

Anything over 13" looks wrong imo. The guard took a long time because i did it without filler, shrinking of metal, hammer and dolly, fibreglassing the holes and welding up the rust + primering constantly eats up time.

Ke17 grill turned up today, (cheers tally) Straighten and paint and it's lush. :)

 

 

 

Getting paint mixed up tomorrow, Guard should be sprayed by thursday.

 

 

Got a sticker made up today "Rust is lighter than carbon fibre" hahah.

Thought long and hard about this car, Engine wise, and i've decided 4age just isn't what i'm after.

 

It's a great motor i won't deny it but not what i'm after anymore.

 

With any luck new motor will be picked up sunday.

Thinking a nice low mount turbo or a pair of twin sidedraughts wouldn't go astray.

 

I thought about the car, and everything it'll have done to it, and a modern twinky motor will just look out of place.

Yeah i'm thinking, If i put in the 5k, run a nice low turbo and hide it below the intake manifold then it'll be hard to tell it's not stock.

 

My general theme for the car is to be different, but with the paint and panel rather different from the normal i was thinking it doesn't matter so much engine wise.

 

But i like the idea of Lapping the local track or doing a traffic light blast, lifting and lifting the bonnet to a stock looking motor :)
