B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 20, 2013 Author Report Posted December 20, 2013 Packed the cam cover corners then lost my oil cap. Really started raging after 10 minutes. Oh... Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 21, 2013 Author Report Posted December 21, 2013 Threw in the new/old carpet I got off T4RAS. Pretty damn amazing condition, he had it wet vac'd before he installed it in his (before the crash). So much better now the black carpet is gone. You can also see the USB charger port I got sticking out the handbrake hole. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 21, 2013 Author Report Posted December 21, 2013 First race, chopped an xr6 FG Falcon and went door to door with a Mazda 3 MPS 2.3 turbo. Fun! Quote
azza91 Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 good stuff man, good to see it didnt take too long to get sorted again Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 21, 2013 Author Report Posted December 21, 2013 Its sweating power pretty bad. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 23, 2013 Author Report Posted December 23, 2013 I'm gonna need to pull this down again and track down this oil leak. Its not enough to stop driving but its more than a random drip or two. Dammit. Quote
Aussie_KE70 Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 Ahh, no good reed, Good luck with tracking it down Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 23, 2013 Author Report Posted December 23, 2013 Hopefully its something relatively easy. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 1, 2014 Author Report Posted January 1, 2014 Went for a drive up to Maleney with the family. So much fun. My only real issue with the suspension is the front shocks, the front end didnt feel as grounded as I think it should be. I only have Monroe Gas or something in there at the moment. I'm thinking its time to spend some coin on a good adjustable pair, or if anyone has a good second hand pair for sale (short stroke) let me know. Apart from that it was fun as. Really has been a re-learning curve in terms of the engine idiosyncrasies, with the cams it doesnt like low rev acceleration, so I've had to change gear selections etc. Quote
ke70dave Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 yeah I had excel g KGB (sw20 rears) and they weren't enough for 6kg. Better shocks were on my list too. Koni/Bilstein? :D Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 1, 2014 Author Report Posted January 1, 2014 I'd like to go Koni if I can find an 'affordable' pair. I know its worth the money for a good pair so I'll shop around. I really want to buy a new diff I have my eyes on so they may have to wait but will see what comes along. Quote
