I don't know how i pick them but yeah its an '84 ke70 slant front high top wagon.

When i first spotted it for sale way

way back in november last year my first thought was that it was the ae71 wagon.

But noooo its a ke70 with a 4k and 4speed.

Which in a way does make me happy that its not pissant 4a motor.

You haven't experienced true pissant until you've experienced a 3A powered tercel.

Less CC, more weight.

Smart move there, Toyota.

I'll see your 4A, your 3A & raise you a 2A. :P

Great to see you've got a Corolla to play with again! :)

Redid the start/ignition wiring it was giving me the shuts on how i had to start the thing.

Sequence of how to start the car.

  1. Turn the key to ignition for the fuel pump and ignition.
  2. Flip on the switch for the electric fan.
  3. Push the start button.
  4. Turn the fan off.

So i pulled half the dash out to figure out the wiring mess was going to rip the manifolds off to figure out what went where.

All that had to be done was hook the white wire up to that connection.

And who would have guessed.

KE55 springs would be able to be used in the 70's spring pack.

Ke55 spring shown only cause i forgot to take a side be side photo :(

Unbolted the hinges from the seat, hammered out the pins

And replaced the pins with a pair of M6 x 60mm bolts

Just had to remove the plastic insert things from the hinges. There's a bit of play in the hinges now but pulling the pins doesn't require the use of a hammer now.
