I don't know how i pick them but yeah its an '84 ke70 slant front high top wagon.

When i first spotted it for sale way

 

way back in november last year my first thought was that it was the ae71 wagon.

 

But noooo its a ke70 with a 4k and 4speed.

Which in a way does make me happy that its not pissant 4a motor.

Redid the start/ignition wiring it was giving me the shuts on how i had to start the thing.

Sequence of how to start the car.

1. Turn the key to ignition for the fuel pump and ignition.
   
2. Flip on the switch for the electric fan.
   
3. Push the start button.
   
4. Turn the fan off.
   

So i pulled half the dash out to figure out the wiring mess was going to rip the manifolds off to figure out what went where.

All that had to be done was hook the white wire up to that connection.

 

And who would have guessed.

KE55 springs would be able to be used in the 70's spring pack.

You can invert the front eyes for moar low :)

Bugger that, 5 inches higher would be better.

And here i was thinking getting the carpet around the corners was going to be a butch to do

Finely mounted up, just needs a couple of little niggles sorted out.

 

Might be a spot for a dvd player

Or an xbox :)

 

Next on the cards is to fix up the surround on the head unit.

Yep, been slack with the updates

 

Pulled out the lower part of the back seat

 

Unbolted the hinges from the seat, hammered out the pins

 

And replaced the pins with a pair of M6 x 60mm bolts

 

Just had to remove the plastic insert things from the hinges. There's a bit of play in the hinges now but pulling the pins doesn't require the use of a hammer now.

And onto the next update of whats in the works now

 

Power windows on the front doors

 

Location that i worked out to about the best spot for the motor.

 

Screwed in place.

The black thing riveted to the door (top left corner) is where speakers had been placed.

 

Not going to put the trim back on till i have speaker pods

made up for the 6x9's
