Yeah that immobiliser would have stopped them. I'm in the process of getting some fellas together for a bit of a baseball bat and balaclava night.

Shame i'm not there... trust me, nothing can stop a thieve on an old car. Or any car for that matter; example: jump on an early VT commonwhores roof, and the doors will unlock. Part of an antiroll mechanism that was revised later in series 1.

Agreed that the scum who key cars should have their air supply cut off. :D

But before you go and fork out $$$ for a new paint job, see what you can do with a decent cut and polish.

May not come up perfect but it will be a lot better.

It's a 2000 VX Berlina (Dark Metallic Green).

As for the car its self, it's actually had a little more than just a cut and polish, it was fully detailed by the owner.

If needs be I will add a thread on car detailing a little later.

sorry to hear about the keying mate. sucks balls. its always people who wish they had the car themselves, and if they can't steal it they will damage it... intelligent thought proccess as you can tell. i agree with the eye keying out punishment. you just don't f**k with another mans ride.

Someone took to the BMW one night, big key-circles on one half the bonnet, all the front guard, both doors, and rear 1/4 guard!! Good thing was that the BMW paint is so hard and thick that ONLY about 10cm of the TOTAL keying effort couldn't be polished out!!

 

That night they stole my alloy valve caps too!! A mate milled these out of a peice of aluminium for me... one off, and they looked awesome.

 

The most damage they did that night was to one of the front fog lights... They kicked it SOOOO hard that it smashed 3 of the 4 mounts, and broke the globe!! And its too expensive for me to fix right now...

 

 

I'd love to find these people and show them what happens if they fight something that WILL fight back!!

i really hate when these threads come up.. its so saddening, and makes you oh so angry.. because unless they get caught, they can keep doing it over, and over, and over... then when the law gets them, its a slap on the rist.
