Hay guys just got my new 26 wagon. It's a one owner log book car with a genuine 37000kms on the clock. It's completely standard with near perfect paint and interior. The only two things the old fella changed were the hub caps and steering wheel (wich are genuine Celica) I will be parting with these if anyone is interested. Plans for the wagon are to leave the paint and interior as is. I was going to do a rotary but we already have one of these going around so I will be building a fj20 with a manual for it. Keep you all posted with pics threw out. I hope you enjoy.

Put the original hubcaps back on it and keep it stock. There's not enough original old corolla's around, especially wagon's.

It's a tough call man. Do I find a beaten down 26 and fix all the stuff wrong with it like rust etc paint it interior and so on or just keep this build clean.

I'd feel bad doing anything to that car. Far to nice. In saying that, it's your car not ours. If it does go a highly modified route keep it looking stock/sleeper.

Ha ha, i pm'ed him this morning about the air-con set up... If he decides to go down that path.

That's one nice wagon bud, clean as, if it was me i would keep a k motor in it or if i was going somthing more powerful keep it Toyota. Just my 2 cents.

Cheers for the comments guys. Appreciate it. I am keeping the full sleeper look. No cage no nothing. All orig interior orig paint and all. I will have to mod the trans tunnel that's it. Even then I will paint it the bamboo colour. The aircon works better than my Hilux aircon hahahahahah and yes once I start building I will be parting with the aircon, hubcaps and steering wheel.

Took her out for a cruise on Sunday. Had the aircon pumping. Did a 300km round trip and she didn't skip a beat. This car is unbelievable.

Looks so dam tidy! Good to see some tidy ones still around.

She is clean in and out man.

Just noticed I have the same steering wheel in my 26 panelvan... it looks good I reckon.

I've changed it back to a stock ke20 steering wheel and just got my self some stock hubbies and wheels. Going to get them white walled this weekend.

Why FJ20?

 

They were a great engine back in the day, but if you are going to the trouble of doing a conversion why not do it with something more modern?

I vote stock aswell. Historic rego and just cruise it.

 

If you were going to modify it, try to keep the body unmodified and you can put all the parts back and sell it for top dollar still.
