I'm sure everybody here has an idea about what they want to do to there rolla, I'm kinda in the same category although I'm a little stumped. :D

 

i want to do something original with my ke70 in the way of engine conversions.

 

does anybody have any ideas on what might be cool to try?

well I think you'll be hard pressed to find something that hasnt been done.

 

Some good choices would be like CA18DET or SR20DET but ive seen both of them done.

 

Holden V6?? hahaha...I'm pretty sure that hasnt been done...

the funny thing is it would probably go harder and for longer with the cats than the holden engine

well what I find amusing is. You can make a 4 cyl SR20DET make 170kw with a boost ajustment. A holden V6 only makes 143kw standard....and weighs about twice as much

On the same note have you tried comparing a Hayabusa engine to a 4K? 1300cc's of raw power... AND, they're both NA.

ok now for a serious suggestion - how about an L20 from a datsun 200B? cameron who i bought my ke25 from used to have one of these in a ke30, and he said it was a friggin torque monster! and lets face it, a 200b engine is going to be cheap, easy to work on yourself, and you can probably get some decent go fast bits for it because it's a datsun and thats what datsun people do. it's a good idea if you want to go old skool. in fact, i can't fit a 12A, maybe i'll do one of these instead

 

and if i could afford it, a rwd 4g63 would be really nice :P
