sitting at macca's drivethrough on my lunch break in my old ke36. just before the guy slid open the window for me to pay the car cut out, wouldn't start back up again either. guy opened the window, that'll $11.95. uh yeah my car just broke down in your drivethrough. his response, so do you still want your meal? me, well the car breaking down doesn't feed me, so ofcourse i do. then he came out and helped push it into a car park, rang the boss and he said find a way back to work within 10min or your fired, bloody prick. turned out the bolt on the dizzy had come loose, so the dizzy had been vibrating around. timing was way outta wack, caused the car to run lean and have no fuel into the carby. and to think i drove this car to qld and back over 1 weekend without any tools lol. and then drove it halfway to qlkd to swap for the ef, where it then drove the rest of the way no drama's, yet it couldn't even get through a macca's drivethrough lol.

just after the battery there is a plug that looks like it is ment to have a fuseable link inbetween but it don't, the connection in that plug somehow came i little dodgy when i was redoing the the speaker wire. and yeah plan to buy some more 8mm wire and do it from scratch. got 12 gauge aerpro speaker cable, and going to hook it up straight to the plug, so none of that pissy little wire that comes of the plugs when you buy a cd player. mounting the splits as front speakers in the rear cards as they are only just behind the drivers seats, and going to mount the rear coaxials on the parcel shelf. going for quality sound. oh and i bought a ute :)

Ok. Um. Just standing around the ke20 trying to get a hold of some mates on the phone to see what they think, noticed light shining on the back of the passenger seat that is flipped forwards. Looked inside and sure enough it's the interior light. Turn the key. Car starts straight away no need for the choke even. But all I did was pull the crossover for the splits out of the rear. Just hit the horn and the car cut out and no interior light again. Also no power again. Thinking it is somehow related to the cd player as when I wired it I accidentally wired it to the horn wire for constant power. well problem solved :dance:

Well was ment to pick the engine up today but my mate pulled out on the drive. So hoping to pick it up next weekend at the latest. No fuseable links in sight. Can pick up power at spot in the engine bay but nothing inside the car has any power. This is giving me the shits. The battery is fully charged now to. All that was changed was the left rear speaker wires. And I can't find any other wire anywhere in the path of changing that

i did check at the fuse box with the test light and not one fuse has power to it. couldn't see a fuseable link. will go out and have another look now, threw the battery on charge just to see if somehow it died.

Something went wrong. Only thing that works is the headlights now. Went out to the car interior light was working. Re wired the left rear speaker. Went to check what it sounded like. Nothing when I turned the ignition on. Looked up interior light was no longer working. None of the fuses are blown. But none of the fuses have any power to them at all. Turned headlights on they work. Hazards negative. Indicators negative. Horn negative. Not one thing apart from the headlights work :(

i know the handbrake works good, and i know the mini spool works awesome lol. :wink: :dance:

And a gps that has a avoid speed humps option. Lol. Got almost $1,500 in bills to pay after I pick up the new engine and my new bike. So once that's paid might get it regoed so that I can start getting it all up to scratch for when I get my license back.

The blue ke36 shell is for sale. So that it can all go into the purple ke36. I only need one ke36 not 2 lol. And don't worry the purple ke36 will be getting done. Just waiting for the paint to be finished before it's back at my place so I can do mounts and everything else. Yeah that's the plan. Me and the mrs are about to start saving flat out for a house deposit. Then after we buy a house I can really get stuck into a car. Coilovers sound good man. What are car are they suited for? Or you make em up for the ke30?

engineering here only allows me a 2.4 turbo, so could go a 2rz. did you do the block side mount's? or the crossmember? one of my tacked up dodge mounts broke when i pulled the engine out lol. so there went getting my uncle to make me some nice ones. i'd love a 12at, just can't justify how much they cost to build atm, wanna get myself a house asap, before spending to much coin doing up a car, hence why all my cars went to a bit of a halt for the time being. yeah i got that look in my vl turbo a lot. just looked like a shitty n/a vl, but pulled about 220rwkw and manual with a 5 puck button clutch.

yeah it was always my purple ke36 getting the engine conversion and not the blue one. just trying to decide between using my ef futura for a daily or the blue ke36, like the ke36 for the wagon fact, but like the ef for the comfort, room and aircon :)got 6 cars atm so gotta get rid of at least one lol. everytime i see another sr powered rolla it gives me motervation :) and everytime i see a rollcage :blush: hehe
