  1. any more pics? info? flares look tuff!!!
  2. i want to put a 4AGE in it, just not yet. want to get it on the road first, and enjoy driving it. there is other stuff i want to do before i put a 4AGE in. IE, bigger brakes, new paint (maybe) redo interior, sound system ect.
  3. ok, motor is all back together, everythign conencted, and she now cranks smooth. just need a radiator, and fix up hoses in fuel tank and she should start!!!!
  4. ROFL, yes it was Si. Took head off, seems the tops of the pistons where layed in carbon crap, by turning the motor over 2-3 times with key, loosened it all up and compacted between the piston and head, All good now,
  5. it wont turn over by hand, it does about 1 rotation before locking up. don't matter, gunna put new headgasket and put the 3k head on the 4k block. and clean the f$%ker while at it.
  6. motor has to come out, it locks up while trying to turn it over. we dunno whats going on ;)
  7. something to do with the oil maybe? does it still pull well after 60kays, or very sluggish?
  8. nope, don't matter. i got a complete dizzy with cap and button and all. putting that in 2nite. I have cranked motor over though. turns over fine!!!! Just need a radiator and hoses.....anyone??......plz?? lol
  9. i have 2 dizzy's, the one in pic you see is the small one of the 2
  10. Getting there, Need fan belt, get some wiring done Anyone know which dizzy that is, the rotor button seems a bit big, and i dunno what cap to buy
  11. Thanks tom, the Gem was a goer. but got sick of blowing parts easy LOL. Not much pregress has happened, primered some parts, passenger rear quarter in primer. fix 2-3 small dents that where really bugging me, also getting the rust cut out soon. Motor is in. slowly getting everything connected. not sure where everything goes but ohwell lol. Will chuck some pics up in next few days maybe. nothen much new to show though

  18. interested on 2 white small ones to fit on the KE30 2 door back quater windows. you guys have em in that size?
  19. thats obvious bout the door trims, But the carpet is the same, ive got carpet out of a KE55 sedan in fine. Rear seats don't fit, well not on mine anyway....seems the lower bolts for the rear seat bit are wrong. BUT, I'm guessing the front seats are the same bolt pattern, just that the 2 door ones obviously fold forward!!!

  21. Hey nick, think it has something to do with the spring being to wide to fit up the strut tower? I'm not sure actually. But I'm going out to the wreckers in a few days and try and pick up some RT132 struts which I'm pretty sure (99.9999%) are the same as XT130 ones but different caliper mounting, wouldnt mind seeing what it takes to bolt the suckers up. Will also look for a XT130 as well, actually. i better google it to see what they look like LOL

  23. Give me something to do today, Ill pull the RA40 brake setup out of my rolla. I didnt put them in so would be good to look actually, Ill Post pics up in the other Suspension Guide i started.
  24. True True, I don't have, or ever owned a E7, so i was showing so light on what i have looked into so far. just thought it would be easy to get all the info in one topic

From what ive reading, the XT130 struts are the same as RT132 struts (out of a corona) only difference is the Caliper mounting on the RT is different. the XT struts allow you to run the Hilux caliper with no mods. Hence why the big boys tend to run the Pug/Hilux/XT130 combo. enough stopping power for most. But most seem to b!tch about the extra weight of this combo. Ive Got RA40 brakes and struts (out of a celica), you will need to use the LCA (lower control arm) and steering Knuckles (I'm pretty sure anyway, not certain) from the RA40 celica,. You will need to get a KE30 or KE55 ect lower spring seat to the strut, and use corolla springs and top hat. Ive started a Topic up with some helpfull info. trying to gather as much of this info into one thread, so any input into that will be great!! Strut Guides Clicky
