looking good mate..

wow i couldn't of asked for better pic's thank you so much now i can see where you have to cut down the colum when it's cut down you wouldn't even know, i thought that when people were saying cut 20mm off the end, that you would only have a little bit of spline left on the colum and that look's fine to me. when the tip is machined down i don't think anyone would know as the spline still travels all the way through the knuckle. i am going to ring my engineer next week and ask about doing the conversion so thanks heap's mate..

thank's that would be nice, i just have one question will the standard rolla strut's go in to the s13 xmember i think the rolla has a 12mm hole and the s13 is 14mm from what i read as i want to keep the wheel track the same as it is now and i already have a good set of coilover's. i just can't work weather the s13 x member is wider than the rolla one wear the lac's bolt up thank's...

for 3 years now i have been looking for an old falcon and then i see your post, $3000 you lucky barstard....... in sydney people want $6-7000 for a rusted out plie of crap that only someone with deep pockets can fix. in 2001 a mate offered his 351c XW fairmont to me for $7000 drive away and i said too dear no way and when i seen him last year for the frist time in years i asked how much for the XW now i want to buy it, well how does $40,000 sound i said too dear no way. well i am still kickin my self for not buying it the frist time....

here's some more shot's of my old ride's and some more of the 1200 ute.

i don't know about qld but in nsw you just need 100mm ground clearance to the lowest part of the car to the ground. if your phone don't fit then a coke can test is out but if you have adjustable coilovers you should be able to get the hight you need.. and i like the crossmember conversion you have done, i want to put power steering on my car and i was looking on google for info on the s13 and found a web forum in spain an a guy used a r33 rack an he said it is shorter in the knukle an did not have to cut the colum down but had no pic's an there was a reply from a guy who asked the question about the colum and he got no answer so don't no if it's true...

found some more pic's the 1200 ute is a ca18 auto 430hp at the wheels without nitrous it has a 225hp shot as well he is going to race it soon he want's 8sec but we will see. the fc is a mild 327 this car when you go cruzing in get's the most looks, the old timer's love it.

a lot of them have sold them so i removed the photos sorry.

i can tell you that r32 rb20 mounts will slide into a 4k crossmember you just have to grind the little locating tabs on the rb20 one and then grind the crossmember one a bit so the two mounts sit flush. i am still using the 4k crossmember mounts just cut down an welded to 6mm flat plate with the rb20.. as for the ca18 motor swap i can NOT confirm this but i was on a skyline forum a few months back and a guy had a pintara with a ca a he said his mate had a corolla with a ca18 and it went straight in with r32 rb20 mounts but please don't take this a fact as it might not be true...

so close, nice job mate when i watched the link to you tube when your time flashs up youn can hear someone in the back ground go ahhhhhhhhh. the wife must be happy she can pull 123mph in the coles car park after she's done the shopping haha...

thanks mate just a little bigger than i was thinking. i wish you could get full rear clip's engineered in nsw, we can only dream....

that's the nsw law. NSW guidelines for light vehicle modifications.. THIS IS NSW ONLY...... the following suspension modifications are NOT acceptable. .. welding forged components such as stubaxles or control arms. .. fitting longer, non standard shackles to leaf springs. ..fitting any aditional components or altering the suspension so that the wheels or tyres contact with any component under full range of suspension or steering travel.. ..fitting any additional components or altering the suspension ride height so that any part of the vehicle other then a wheel or tyre can contact the road in the event of a tyre deflation.. .. if major changes to the suspension ( such as substitution of a non standard front crossmember ) are carried out, they should be done under the strict guidance of an engineering signatory.. if anyone want's to have a read of the nsw engineering laws here they are.. vsi_06___guidelines_for_light_vehicle_modifications_nov_2007.pdf

this one guy said a te72 can run a 26.5 x 8 with the standard tub so if te72's are the same then that's a bigger slick then i want to run so no need to minitub for the slicks just the look's. it's a bit of money just to be different or is it ???
-
yes in NSW you can have mini tubs, you ARE NOT allowed to cut or mod the chassis rail in anyway but always ask your engineer how he want's it done as he is the one that will sign off on it at the end of the day.. from what i can work out looks like i will have to move the bottom trailing arm to the inside of the chassis rail and mount a set of coilovers. the other second idea is to just cut and mod the front of the wheel tub near the bottom trailing arm and leave the standard shocks and springs where they are and the bottom trailing arm where it is and get a bit more room but it's alot of work for such little gain.. i have got a price over the phone with a place and it's going to cost a few grand to get it working so i will just spend the money into making it go faster for now thanks guy's.. if anyone can still find a photo i would still like to have a look thanks..

sorry mate i will have to read better next time. i would to if i could take my car there if it had microtech, i think i read somewhere they are the best microtech tuners around..
-
you have to read it better it said in N/A form, force fed is about the same as it is now. you can have a N/A 2jz then when it's got rego slap a turbo on it and hope you don't get pulled over.
-
almost got the wheels off the ground and she's looking good mate..
-
i know why you and your mate are making so much power, bresciani racing those guy's are one of the best vl tuners around...

the thing with e85 is can't buy it everywhere that's the only bad thing about it. i am running a 0.86 rear and a 0.7a/r front it's meant to flow 650hp i just want 250kwatw on the 2litre with about 18psi or so. big turbo for a 2 litre but a mate's got the same one on he's fj20 with a 5 grand convertor and it work's good it make's 2 psi at 4000rpm and then 20 psi at 4600rpm, it just go's to show how much that extra 1 litre makes and the garrett turbo over the cheap one. he has not put the car on a dyno yet, i don't think he will but the plan is to run a 10sec pass on a standard motor..
-
that's a top set you are running making that much boost at that rpm with a turbo that big.. the e85 does help a mate just started tuning his car on it and it is making a bit more power but it is still early days. can you see why i want an rb30 set up like yours in my ke70.
-
17 psi by 3,300rpm that's nice, i am only making 10 psi by 3,300 but i think this is because i am only running a 2,5 inch exhaust. as for what your mate said that sounds about right i think go the 3 grand one, it should get out of the hole good, if you are making good psi by that time. is this turbo going to make the 350rwkw you are looking for if so this thing is going to be a weapon to drive!!!!!
-
i like the vl mate looking good, i would go a 5500rpm convertor with the glide i have a 5 grand and it is still nice to drive around and it works very well with the standard turbo 5 grand might sound big but they are not when you are driving around it will hover around 2.5-3 grand on light cruise. you want your converter 1000rpm higher then when your boost comes on that is if you want to drag race it..
-
i think i know why they are discontinued $$$$$$.. i might have to just buy a 200hp gas kit instead..
-
the stuff is as dear as sin but a billet crank, roller rockers, h beam rods, i just want to know how much power that engine is making for the price.. i have lots of power but i still would like a high horse power 4k to play around with..
