  1. hahahah, nice ok, update \ been working on a strut brace over the last couple of weeks in my spare time made the tower pads from old strut tops that i cut and grinded the center out of, then bent and welded some flat plate on to it to make these i made the actual brace out of some 16NB with some rod ends, one right hand thread and one left, bought some male ones aswell and cut the tie rod end off them and welded the threaded section into the ends of the pipe 12mm stainless cap head fixes the brace into the bases/pads haven't painted it yet but should come up quite nicely
  2. sorry for the late reply mate, havent been on here for a while, there stock tail lights for a square head light 55, i just resprayed them and wrapped the chrome trims will try to update with a few pics tonight if i get the chance
  3. yeah probably going to go the texter option, didnt really want to change the colours but just going to have to deal with it thanks for the help
  4. ive seen a guy with procomp 52 series style ones before, i want some, but no 4 stud listed on their website, and if i remember he wasnt giving any clues on where he got them being steel ya maybe able to get some re-drilled paul
  5. went to harveys today, only two bare 55 4 doors there, it tough going down there atm, there was later stuff, but i don't really look at that if any one has a good engine bay loom for a 55, ill grab it, needs to be good tho, ie plugs not crumbly paul
  6. ok just a quick update, things are starting to move along, got myself a few new things got a haltech sprint 500, and a set of ls1 coils to make wiring the beast up a lot easier, got new manifold on the way, so i can cut it up to fit the quads, getting the flange for them cut next week. new extractor flange also came today, got some bends organised and a decent price so i can get rid of the horrible 4-3-1 extractors on there, (yes that's not a typo, they go 4, then join two and then the 3 pipes join into one, with a horrible collector too! (this was not my work)) going for fairly curvy style that a lot of people are running on rwd 20v's these days, will also be the easiest way to get length into them with out getting clearance problems form the idler arm and so on, been nutting out the calcs, and with the capacity I'm going and the cams, they sort of need to be around the 25-30 inch length not much more is needed now tho before i get can start to get it running with the quads, get wide band and controller, decent tacho, and a bit of fab work paul
  7. It's a haltech sprint 500 I need about three meters of each of these. Some I will need more Blue Blue black Blue brown Blue red Yellow black Yellow red Yellow orange Yellow green Black yellow Red white Black white need like 10m iirc Paul
  8. Yeah I was thinking of the permanent marker. Might be an option. If narva do them I'll be sorted tho. I can get it through work then. I'll have to go in a see what colours they do Thanks for the help guys
  9. hi guys, I'm about to start wiring up my engine with stand alone ecu, the ecu i got only came with small amount of loom to work with and i don't want to spend the 330 dollars to get a new full length loom now i obviously need quite a few different wires, so the average 8 solid colours that you get from the local auto store wont be enough any one know where i can buy wires with the second tracer stripe, ie yellow with blue stripe, black with white stripe and so on? paul
  10. if I'm free and the rolla is still on the road ill come
  11. lol we all suck balls, i didnt make it either, rear shocks in the rolla are shagged, was hoping to get new ones yesterday but they were out of stock
  12. new update, haven't really done anything lately but i have bought a few things. got a new gearbox, should have that next week. i also bought this its a toda chromoly flywheel, and it only weight 5kg, factory is 13kg so should rev up a bit nicer with this sucker also collecting bits for rear end, all new nolethane bushes for the rear and new rear shocks are on order, mine old shocks have finnally given up, tyre is cutting on outer guard because of this :glare: paul
  13. do it!!!! what offset tho?
  14. got a fair bit of work on tomorrow. if i get it all done ill be there
  15. cheers mate got quads today, thought they were black tops but turns out there silver tops, not too much love lost, still going to be epic also took my second trip too dicroads today, didn't pass yesterday, and i don't think she wanted to pass me today, apparently the the car needs to have 100mm clearance fully laden, mines only just over it light, but she passed it as it was technically over the 100mm, win! might fix a few of the things that hang before i lower it again, saves the hassle, vicroads chick reckons i'll still get hassled as it is
  16. cheers mate, your celica is amazing too, very nice work that ae71 wagon was ace too, love the brown the crown ute was a rs46 if i remember correctly, was awesome, me wants
  17. cheers guys wound the rolla up a bit today, the gearbox drain plug is still low, going to try get it cleared tomorrow on way home from work, looks kinda gay after being low, but it scrubs less so will probably not lower it as much when cleared paul
  18. well got done for too low yesterday, was fairly lucky and only got a minor defect for that, so ill have to wind it up a bit, was hoping it was just the exhaust as it seems to be lower than necessary, but its also the gearbox cross member as well, might have to fix that when i pull the motor for its lemony fresh
  19. lol, yeah that was pretty anti-social, got to do some work to the rear end, lol
  20. lol, yep, my mind has been made up today, lashed out and bought a set of black top 20v quads and manifold, thinking about cams and comp while its apart getting fixed, but just collecting part atm lol, my ebay spray booth (read crappy tent/gazebo) did alright, this was all on a scoria drive way, so it can be done, there are a few bits I'm not completely happy with but this has been my first full respray and ya have to start some where yeah she is. its kinda weird getting tips from an attractive 18 year old girl on how to paint your car, lol she did a great job, specially since we had the wrong hardener for the weather, but fark I'm stocked with it=)
  21. looks like ill be at this one, got time off work, win
  22. hahaha well we'll see how much money i can get up for it, but it should be staying naturally aspirated, and hopefully as lumpy as it is now, just not shit first thing to do is extractors, the old ones are not cool
  23. cheers guys will do matt went to mates today a checked out the compression, as expected, shes f@$ked stock comp is ment to be 199psi, acceptable is 171 psi, mine is as follows 1=165, 2=155, 3=130, 4=160, and oiled was 1=175, 2=175, 3=150, 4=175 so looks like i have ring and head issues would explain the rough idle and lack of power saving up over then next couple of months and going to go a liitle crazy with her, with a bit of "correct induction", as teddy would say paul
  24. dude your attention to detail is crazy, this is going to be one crazy rolla when your done, get back to work!!!!!!! i want to see this thing pass me sideways, paul
