  1. remember the movie Rompa Stompa with Russell Crow? they burnt a yellow ke38 in that movie. so thats one less LMAO! ;)
  2. That dude with the panelvan is surely on one of the rolla forums. I noticed he has a sedan front end on it and wagon tail lights which is a bit disappointing to me :P kiddin :laff:
  3. KE16/18 cheers Hendo :) Tonight i spotted a yellow ke55/30 sedan on Fitzsimmons lane, Templestowe. had nice wide mags and was LOW.
  4. Just spotted a ke17? (panelvan) greenish colour, had mag wheels. It was on the back of a tow truck on the Greensborough bypass. About 1 hr later i saw a very clean red square front ke70 sedan with original BUW### numberplates also in Greensborough. Saw a rusty gold ke70 low roof wagon yesterday on the eastern fwy. That's all i got for the min..
  5. Also there is a place on Heatherdale rd, Ringwood. can't remember the name C** something? i took some old alloy wheels there (7) and got like $60bucks :)
  6. working all day :( would definitely of come otherwise.
  7. thats my mates ae71 daily. its not clean though :P
  8. Nice dude :) I'm curious to see how you do the fuel system. i need to improve mine. with the diff conversion you will have to used different/new U bolts for the axle because T series housings are thicker than s series. I used U bolts from a t series corona (rt104?)but i also had to grind the housing a bit to get them to fit snug. (the ra60 housing i used had a taper on it +slightly thicker than the corona t series)
  9. thanks again :) It probably looks better in the pics than real life unfortunately! the panel work aint the best/straightest, but I'm pretty happy with the result as it was my first shot at this sort of work :) hopefully someone can put a pic up of my car from the Hanging Rock car show that was on yesterday. (i didnt take any good ones)
  10. eltham maccas .leaving at 6.30am. that's were i'll be.
  11. Yeah me too! is it on main st? or the Grimshaw St one? (Grimshaw st BP is probably classified as Greensborough though..)
  12. put the madhouse lip on today :)
  13. I vaguely remember the car. does it have a fmic and maybe stock wheels? I looked over because it was a nice sports car and i could see out the corner of my eye someone looking back ;)
  14. Yep, spotted Hendo! my friend goes " hey that cars like yours" and i turned around, saw the van and flagged him down :P Matt, that is the 2nd time you have spotted me on Bell st! (was in a wagon last time) what car were you in? i hate crossing that intersection with the tram tracks. suspension fail. :(
  15. Myke - I wont need a pic. thanks for the offer though. much appreciated. i've kinda worked it out. Just got home from work and tried to fit a spare again. no luck! looking closely at the tank and the only way i can describe it is that it has "exploded" inside and its all out of shape?! WTF! Mannn.. how can that happen? First thought that came to mine was the spray booth oven.. thats what, 60degrees? surely that couldnt be the case.. Anywaysi think i need another tank. (Paul, looking at you man :P hope you still have the one from your paddock wagon?) In the mean time i took the tyre hanger/bracket off and it looks pretty cool, but its not practical to run without one! i need the boot space for my bed :P Pics are off my phone again. its abit dusty and i haven't yet polished my bumpers or the bilbos.
  16. Bilbo's are still gold. planning to keep it that way ;) Will try and find a decent camera and get pics up tonight. also if anyone with a 70/71 wagon or van has a picture of their fuel tank (without the spare tyre fitted), can they please post it? for some reason i can't fit my spare back underneath! (a celica 14". i've had it up there before, but now it wont go! weird)
  17. Oh, that makes more sense. cheers Paul! Tate: - wheels were done by hand. grinder with the flapper disc to fix the lip.paint stripper, some sand paper, lots of steel wool and autosol. paint is metallic jade with some clear coat. Went for a spin today :D no interior trims though but i had the time to set up one 6x9 to keep me happy. Wheels are on. 7.5" bilbos on the back, new wheels on the front. looks pretty cool ;) Now to fit/make interior paneling, headliner, screw the madhouse lip on, give it a cut/polish. (plus several other little things)
  18. And my little side project for the van. These are my new front runners. techno racing 14x7 +2 (supplied by Otomoto) Before: (note the gutter rash ownage!) After: (yep, they are the same wheels)
  19. thanks for the kind words people :D its good fun putting together the car with all the refurbed parts! it quite rewarding. :) The car is almost done (not many pics atm), just need to fit drivers door glass, outer glass rubber and both inner weatherstrips then it can be driven on the road again! (interior is still apart, but meh its driveable!) All these pics in my thread are off my Nokia phone but id really like to use a better camera for the completed shots ;) You can see my original quad light beaver panel in these pics. not sure why my van has this beaver fitted. has been like that since i owned it. An OLD pic showing the orange peal/lumpy paint on my front guard. (exact same peal/lumps on the drivers side too) So i stripped it back, found some filler under there. i kept sanding and found some LEAD filling.. Sooo at some stage my van was sporting some fender mirrors! pretty cool i reckon ;)
  20. I like your cat and the carpet. the bumpers are pretty cool too :P Is it running yet dude?
  21. repainted this in satin black and autosol'd the chrome. came out good i think!
  22. Bah, a quick pic off the phone showing it in the sun.
  23. Car is home now. overall its super shinny! I see now my panel work could have been better though.. note: don't use k&n filler primer (yellow stuff). it shrinks! Overall though, for the price i paid, I'm wrapped with the result. it looks really tidy now :D The colour is more like the original rather than the colour it was before. (for those who have seen my car in person before it was like a dark metallic, kind of like the colour of top soil). But now it is CHOCOLATE! it looks tits!! it definitely needs a cherry and some whipped cream! (and some 14x8.5s :P ) Time for the refit to begin and to organize a windscreen man. I miss driving this thing :( will get some pics up tomorrow
  24. hrmmmmm... :D
  25. niice keybang! lol here was my last effort before i ditched the 4k in my van..
