  1. Well, let me just say that half of this site if jealous of your Corona, not cause its a Corona on a Corolla site but that they don't have such a prime piece of motoring like it. Seriously, its a hot car and we are lucky to have it on here. :lolcry:
  2. Something similar to this happend to me a couple months back. I have my project car in my front yard with a cover over it. I was talking about it to a guy at work and it surprised me that he knew what colour it was cause i never told him. He them them be know that he was outside my house at the traffic lights when he saw someone who he thought was my brother pull up, take the cover off, hop under the car, hop in the car hand have a good look around. This scared the crap out of me cause i was at work and that someones been snooping around the car when no ones home. It happend a couple more times where my family notice the sus guy hanging around, but we haven't seen him lately. My car has been confused for another car a few times. My cousin thought it was a Torana while my Panel Beater keeps calling it a Datsun. Thats where I always snap back, "IT'S A COROLLA"
  3. Welcome to the club. Nice to see you introduced yourself first.
  4. Not needed. Grey was already a colour last time. :lolcry:
  5. **UPDATE** Well i've finally gotten my car back after a whole week at the Beaters. I had the rust cut out of the gutters and the rust cut out/ stopped the leak in the boot. Sadly i didn't take before pics. Now its time for doof. I couple weeks back i fixed my front plate cause everyone kept reminding me that it was hanging by a thread. I decided to get alittle creative and bolt them on with bolts from another KE30/55 bumper. I kinda like the look. Sadlt the plate protectors have left some shit on the plates. I might have to order a new set. I've gotten some chrome bolts for the back too. Hopefully in the next few weeks i'll get the Twins onto the car. :lolcry:
  6. I say if you wanna stay auto, do it. My project car at this stage may end up staying auto, it seems its gonna be a stuff'a'round to change it over due to the auto crossmember and manual crossmember not lining up. Plus its something different, a more relaxing drive, not having to worry about changing gears. Do what you want to your car cause in the end, its your car and your the one who has to drive it. Do what makes you feel comfortable. Some people criticise me about my choice of putting Venetians in my car, i just shrug it off cause its the look I'm after. Don't let any ones negative comments change your mind. Peace out, Jon.
  7. I'm assuming that everything would fit under the bonnet, as for inside i'm not sure. The KE70's have a differant dash so the controls/switches are differant, as well as you would need the ducting to close off the two vents next to the doors and connect them to the central fan.
  8. I like the current look.
  9. I say go for it, and if you don't, i think we all know who you can sell the green paint to. ;)
  10. Its the *NEW* 3 wheel Corolla.
  11. WoW, my spider senses are growing. ;)
  12. He came on the last cruise. Looks quite alright in person...from a distance Could do with some work on the engine and interior.
  13. WoW, i looked at one of the picks with the guy standing so proudly next to his truck and thought, how would he load his shit into the tray?? Then i saw the hydraulic lift. They have thought of everything, tho if could probably do with a mini crane.
  14. Now thats a waste of a good car. Where abouts was this taken?? The backgound reminds me of the DFO carpark.
  15. KE70 is a certain shape of Corolla that was around 1979-1984 (Somewhere along those lines.) The one your looking at is a KE30 which spanned from 1974-1978. Parts for that model can also be sourced from the KE55 which is the same shape too, but came with a slightly larger engine and cosmetic differances. 1978-1981. If you click on the picture on the right in my signature it will take you to a thread where I have many of these models listed from members of this site. Just so you can get the feel of what is what. Jon.
  16. **cough**MAZDA**cough**
  17. I too still believe that its a Mazda. The vent down the back window is similar to what the Mazda's had. Corolla's had theirs in the middle of the pillar until the AE92 i beleive. I don't beleive that Toyota would have changed it just for one car. Plus the qtr window in that door isn't the same size as a KE70's but the same as a Mazda's.
  18. The seats look pretty much the same between the KE55 Square Headlight model and the KE70. So even if the seats don't swap right over, i'm sure you'd be able to still use your original rails and the KE70 seats.
  19. I ment corolla-ish from that period. ie KE70.
  20. If you have the time, go to a wrecker that has both cars and test it out.
  21. Other things that aren't on a normal KE70 are the rear fixed qtr window isn't a complete triangle, the rear vent is in a differant location and is a differant size and there normally isn't a chrome strip at the base of the boot lid. Tho you do get people who like to take badges from other car companies and stick them on their cars...
  22. Plus look at the light for the number plates. Not very corolla-ish.
  23. Hope they sell batteries on board. ;)
  24. Theres something about the angle of the tail lights that look mazda to me. It probably would have had the twin round headlights.
  25. Hot looking ride you have there. In a distant way the front end looks like a Mustang with the intercooler the way it is and the lights recessed in, ...distant tho. (Pic 2)
