  1. i had one of these a few years back and it was a great car off road... i raced a 4x4 landcruizer through the bush and it had no probs apart from ground clearence (some places the cruizer went i had to go round) but apart from clearence it was a great off roader
  2. I noticed there is alot of people talking about there KE10 20 so on but only few talking bout AExx so make ya choice and post why that over the other :lolcry:
  3. ok cool but seein how this is the 1st 4age ive had my little fingers on how can ya tell that and id be guessin that bigport is better then small port
  4. ok finilly picked this thing up, it has the old classic chocolate coloured water in the radiator so now chasin a new head gasket :lolcry: happy to see that it is a 4age but :lolcry: this may seem like a stupid question and it prob is but is there any way to tell from the outside of the engine if its a big/small port? heres a few more pic;s
  5. the thing about these steering/gear locks is they are only a deterrent so that the thief sees it and goes nuh too much effort however if a thief really wanted the car then neither of these devices will stop them, at best it will only slow them down... for peace of mind get yaself a high end car alarm... even these wont stop the professional car thief but will stop your average local tosspot down the road from getting into your car... failing that lock a large dog in the car at night :hmm: that will stop just about any1
  6. hey didnt mean totaly stop the bumps just 3 in a row.... omg c'mon
  7. ok this is buggn me so time for my QQ... I know most of us like nice bumps in the right places but seriously i just read a post where some1 wrote 3 posts and all they wrote was bump.... like c'mon guys (AND GIRLS) if ya really want a bump go get one, no need to spam bump the forum :jamie: ( and yes i realise the next person will prob just write "bump" ) :blinks:
  8. bit strange for you to have no travel at all it ya got a hydraulic clutch... however you could try just releaseing some of the presure by cracking the bleeder on ya slave cyclinder do this by opening it for a split second only too long and you'll have no clutch if no fluid comes out you may need to leave it cracked while you slightly press the clutch in (bout an inch or 2) then tightned the bleeder and see if thats made any difference
  9. take ya car to a car wash them blame them for the damage to the paint and make them pay for it to get resprayed :blinks:
  10. that looks friggn insane nice work man.... so when ya going to return that car to me :blinks:
  11. is an idea that when ya welding on thin metal just to do spot welds so it doesnt warp the metal... it might not look pretty but thats what they invented grinders for :blinks: try and find a strong magnet to hold the metal flat to surface your welding to and go slow if there are any bends in the peice you need to replace then after you cut out the old metal get yaself some cardboard and make the approx shape needed and then trace it onto the new peice of metal and cut and bend it before welding it to the car hopfully thats been some help to ya :jamie:
  12. ya never know the cops could get a laugh outa it :blinks:
  13. ya done some pretty sweet work there dude.. my hat goes off to you.. when ya gonna dolly up the engine bay with some paint and shinny bits :blinks: ooo and ya missed somthing when ya repainted too.... the "cop bait" in red on the front :jamie:
  14. nice drive and some skiing then on ya way from hobart to strarthgorden stop off at Mt field... nice amout of snow up there atm and should be more come oct
  15. before looking at buying another gearbox or repairing the one you have id have a look at the clutch, i know ya saying only between 2nd and 3rd or 3rd to 2nd but might just be a simple clutch adjustment needed or another clutch plate.. thats not to say that it isnt the synchro thingy but this could be a cheaper option to check out 1st I'm not refering to the clutch being worn but more to the point of that its not declutching eg; cable/hydrolics may need to be tighten up or re bleeding
  16. yeah he said he's been sellin it for awhile, it does have an engine but blow smoke so ill be striping it down and rebuilding it or just drop in another one if its not worth the effort of repairing
