yes the gt4 gear would easily withstand the gze. it would not be hard to fit either as i have fitted a 202 holden six into a escort!!! :)

what superjamie said. if the valve stem seals are even remotely crooked they will leak

if you want to swap them at my joint, thats cool. it doesn't have the springs though. but if you really needed them i can get them. i picked the diff up today and it needs a clean-up. and the handbrake cables swapped as they have been cut. we can use the one off the drum i gave you and one i have. if you put new pads and wheel cyls on and clean them up good they will work like charms

nothing wrong with my handbrake (on bitumen around corners hahaha!) i have also been thinking about another ke30 but i still want a tercel. after all it will be a project car and if upgrade is necessery, then upgrade is necessery! after all, how hard could it be to drop in celica gt-4 diffs etc, etc! as power would be it's middle name :dry:

if i rebuilt the gearboxes and diffs i think it would be alright. as long as i took it easy(not dropping clutch etc) so i don't lunch gearboxes. i have seen some street registered irs equipped cars. like kingswoods and falcons and shit

dropping the cr depends on the cr. if you were to turbo the 4afe you would have to either chip the existing coomputer, upgrade injectors/fuel pump, lower comp ratio, and get/make manifolds. yes 4afe's are very cheap. i picked one up complete with computer, loom, sensors, coils everything to make it run, for $150 in running condition. i tested compression etc and it was peferct. so i dropped it in a ke30 for a mate!

its not a silly idea. i had a blow through carb/turbo 4k and 5k, and a 4.1L 6cyl cortina twin turbo with a blow through 600 holley!!!!! but why not just put it on the 4age???? :)

i was thinking today what car i will build after my white corona (in about a year or so) and i thouhgt i would get some opinions. i am thinking either another ke70/ae71 wagon and droping in an off it's nut 4agze and 5 speed, lowered 4 inchs with koni adjustables all round and a custom made IRS setup underneath its ass with some 16 inch 5 spokers, and a custom 2pak mulberry paintjob, ..............or a full time 4wd corolla tercel wagon (about '87) with similar running gear setup but 16inch multispokes, and body layered in 2pak electric blue with a lilac pearl, either would have worked engines and high pressure clutch setups and big power to support the looks...... (as some of you may have gathered when i build engines i do it properly!) :) and probably cost abit but i wouldn't be selling them in a hurry as i would never get my money back. and i would keep the corona as a daily driver and the wagon on weekends and cruizes etc. opinions everybody????.............

that car wont be attending the cruize! sorry to get ya hopes up. that car will be finished in hopefully a few months :) <------ the yella terra will be there though hopefully with the 5 speed dropped in it
