i could very well live with that kind of power. i had a te cortina fitted with the 4.1 6 cyl, i blew up the auto and fitted a 4 speed, then used my welding skills and made a manifold that held twin turbos. i got it running sweet with a handful of other goodies, and it spun the locked diff and 2 wheels in all for gears on bitumen, anyday of the week. 120k\mh, drop back into 3rd and thump it, and the car slid sideways with a trail of smoke until 150kmh, back into 4th and tramp it again and it did the same thing. anyway everyone who ever went for a ride in this car shat themselves, but i was cool, and always enjoyed the power this car was a absolute wild boar, but the power was so much fun

yes i think supercharging is much better. no lag, power all the time....... yes the future might turn my motor into a 22rze!

i agree. toyota's are known for builing bulletproof engines. and the fact that they take a floggin and keep asking for more, they are great for serious power. 22re's actually came factory with forged cranks! :insane: and if you build a n/a engine correctly, i believe they are better than turboed enignes anyway. it's all in how you drive

well mine should be pretty toey full engine balance, block decked, honed, and crack tested, head shaved, port 'n' polish, bigger valves(20r) 2700-6700 range cam grind, port matched intake man' and extractors, tuned length extractors, 4agze injectors (365cc), bosh motorsport efi pump, 10mm fuel lines, bored throttle body, removed afm, install map sensor, aftermarket injection (don't know what yet), acl bearings and cromoly rings, arp studs, cold air intake from pod, cpc brass button 5 puck clutch and beefed up presure plate i think thats it......... yeah thats it......for now, muwahahahahaha! decided not to go turbo. i think it should go pretty hard once it's back together ;)

just locked the diff for my little beast ;) will be fitting it maybe saturday will have more pics, and it may be on four wheels!

i'd rather just cam the 2s for now but i have to find a way around the rockers hmmmmmm.... what to do, i can't really pull it apart and make something as it's my daily driver. atleast i can still put a big mother f@$k of a cam in the 22re! ;)

thanks.... but you know what i just relised? the yellow rona does not have adj rockers! so i can't put a lumpy in it! unless anyone know of a cheap 3s? ;)

i sold the car to my mate then he wrote it off (stupid barstard) so i have nothing recent but i'm sure i have photoes of the conversion and finihshed product. i will have a look around, if i find some i will post them ;) it look sweet as though!

this is not hard at all. just comress the spring and remove the strut top (the bolt on the very top), then put your strut top back on. but definatley compress the spring or you will get very sore fingers! and thanks for the job site ;)

sweet. so where are tighe? and yeah i'm supplying the cam. i found cragar performance do 'em for 100, but tighe is still cheaper
