i know what you mean but i think its just that the motor is cold, and therefore tight, which would help in hard starting. but, yes the fuel should be warm so it vaporises.

but a manifold warmer would also warm the air, which is bad. you will see in some street/strip cars have tank warmers which works tha same way without heating the nice cold air
