  1. This guy is on the money. An alternative is to get a plastic bag, put the handle over the winder, then pull the handle into the open side of the horseshoe clip and wiggle it until the clip comes out. Or use a window winder removal tool, I have one you can borrow if you need it.
  2. Nice VT, they're not a bad daily, and there is fun to be had in RWD cars ;) High flow cat won't do a thing performance wise, but it will affect exhaust note and volume somewhat. If you want the exhaust to sound decent without drawing too much attention, a hotdog on the tailpipe, or even a second muffler is the go.
  3. If you ever spot an AE92 FX-GT at the wreckers, they may have cup holders. Sadly, none of the AUDM AE92 corollas had cupholders, or some other cool features that overseas market models did.
  4. Looks decent, hopefully there's no suprises when a RWC guy looks it over. Are those vinyl stripes or actually painted on? I think it'd look better with no stripes.
  5. Doorcards look overrated! Nice score on the free zorst tip, goes well considering there's a decent amount of chrome on the KE36.
  6. Finally got around to doing the change, was well overdue as the fuel that came out of it had a brown tinge to it. I pulled out the fuel/EFI relay to depressurise the system, cranked the car a couple times as well. Was not an easy task, care has to be taken with the lower flare nut fitting, it's not hard to accidentally round them, a pipe spanner or a vice grip would be good to use.
  7. In. RSVP'ed on facey too so Evan can feel better about himself seeing the attending list grow +1 :P
  8. Anyone been to centre road wreckers recently? Is the red AE93 SX seca still there and is the lower lip still on it?
  9. Looks like it cleaned up pretty well after the mold attack, hope to see this car back on the road one day. And what's the story behind the Corolla GP? I have never seen or heard of one until today.
  10. Option 1 or 2 me thinks, seems to be in good condition considering it's all original, and it runs well ,so its worth a bit of TLC, even if its the easy way out with option 2, will keep the car alive to serve you, or the next owner well for years to come. It definitely has potential to be a clean daily :)
  11. Nice job with the airbrushing, one way to make plastics stand out. Boot install looks tidy and practical, what are you going to cover up the wood with?
  12. Nice work so far. What else do you have planned for it?
  13. 185-195 on all 4 wheels would look good I reckon, gives it that slightly stretched tyre look. If I was allowed to mow the lawn like that, I'd gladly volunteer to do it every time :laff:
  14. To find one with no rust on it at all, you've done well. Looks tidy as, already looks like quite the headturner, hope you look after this KE55!
  15. Ok should be there pending my availability, now to decide whether to take the rolla or the commodore up :hmm:
  16. I might make an appearance if I'm free on the day. Note that if Skyhigh is on the agenda, you cannot enter after 10pm, and to enter, it's $5 per car or per person (I forget which).
  17. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll change the filters, plugs, leads, clean out the throttlebody and see how I go. Thanks, I find it to be an easy car to drive and has plenty of poke for the street, so it makes a great daily!
  18. Air filter looked pretty clean when I last looked at it (a month ago) I've found the location of the fuel filter, passenger side of the engine bay, up the back near the firewall, just under the charcoal canister. Do Toyota sell these? Or would a shop such as Bursons be able to source them?
  19. Not much to update on, except oil and coolant was changed within the last two months. And the car has seen more regular use as a daily. One thing that concerns me though, is the car's fuel consumption. With a mix of city/highway driving, and usually driving at a similar pace to the rest of the traffic, i'm getting about 7.5/8L per 100km, or about 450km to approx 36L, a bit more than they should be using? Is it worth changing plugs, leads and fuel filter (haven't been done since buying the car back in march)or does this point to a sensor issue?
  20. Very tidy crown, wouldn't mind picking one up myself later down the track as a weekender. How would you control the headunit with it hidden? And what's the performance like in this crown, being a manual?
  21. Some presents for my AE93 probably. Maybe some suspension work if I get enough back, or maybe even just new plugs and leads.
  22. Is the dyno day open to all rollaclub forum members? Tempted to take one of my cars onto the dyno to see what sort of power its making.
  23. Good choice for an L plater car, they're easy to maneuver, are more forgiving than some other cars in handling terms and economical. And they're hardly cop bait if you keep this one through your P's. :fuzz: If you plan to keep the car for a number of years, then a 4age conversion would not be a bad idea if you can get hold of the equipment required. Here's a set of chrome trim rings, not sure if theres are the best or cheapest, just the first thing i saw http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Premium-Chrome-Wheel-Band-Trim-Ring-13-SET-4-/120734255527?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c1c5289a7 You might want to source a tacho dash later on, or if you're 100% on a 4age conversion, just get a dash from an AE93 (6 gauge cluster)
  24. Flat boot interior, you going for a show style audio setup? And afaik, you do not have to carry a spare tyre, but if you do, it must have a roadworthy amount of tread on it, or it could be defectable.
  25. Nice Tidy Tincan! Is it strictly a track car, or does it do the odd daily duty from time to time? What size/brand are those 5 spokes? I'm after something with a similar design for my car.
