  1. Have a look into www.rynoinsurance.com.au I got a quote with them super good price and insure any mods as far as I'm aware I'm covers for 14x8" when I get them back in a month or so and supercharger and lowered and h/d springs and shocks Also once the car hits 30 yrs old you get auto salvage rights Just a thought Also can pay monthly so easy Cheers Miller
  2. It was all engineered but had a dodge paint job She was hit in the rear so the custom tub and cab were both stuffed but chassis was fine The repairer quoted for a new tub to be modded to suit and a replacement cab body dropped to suit without pait something like $8000 and the insurance tryed to just pay her out around $7000 she said no as the car had had so much money spent and threatened to go to court and they caved in she supplied the new tub and cab the panel beater/ painter did all the fitting and paint So worked out well for her I'm not saying you will be this lucky but if you can get them to at least not write it off and agree to repair it and you supply the parts you can usually work something out with the repairer so you come out of it better then you went into it Miller
  3. I'm not wrong or my friend would have a written off Holden rodeo twin cab... It was uninsured at the time also with 10s of thousands of $$$$ spent on it with a full air bag setup and body drop when she was rear ended It was repaired and repainted end of story now it was a stuff around and did take quiet a long time to get done but it all worked out in her favour in the end Miller
  4. I'm fairly sure you can refuse the offer and make them fully repair it and then if you spent some cash on panels and parts you could save enough to have the panel beater to paint it I had a friend with a mini truck with the same problem and ended up with a full respray So don't take the insurance guys first offer Cheers Miller
  5. Pick-a-part here I come :D Thanks guys Miller
  6. Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows of any rack ends I can use in my ke70 with custom 20mm extended lca's I have heard of using other tie rod ends and tubes to make up the differance but I would rather just get new rack ends that would work Thanks Miller
  7. Ok put extended lca's didn't plan ahead I must admit going to have to get longer steering arm/tie rod ends to get more adjustment in the front so I can get the wheels pointing in the same direction Not 100% sure what ones yet but will have a look ASAP
  8. Yeh mate they will be for sale give me a msg or pop around and we will work something out for ya Cheers Miller
  9. No worries mate will do for now I can't keep them for ever tho i don't have that much storage room But always happy to help out fellow ksev owners Cheers
  10. Bit of progress the last few weeks Fitted a supercharger Removed supercharger lol Will be refitting in a couple weeks when changed over to straight LPG Made some new lca's 20mm extended Made radius arm brace Half way through making 4 point rear strut brace Bought 2 doors from a ae71 and once tere on will remove the fender mirrors (got over not seeing anything) Painted all te interior black Bought a tacho dash and got rid of the shit tacho I had in it That's all I can think of right now lol Cheers Miller
  11. I don't think it mixes properly when I turn the car off you can hear the fuel dripping in the manifold so that's gay as But yes it's fun to drive when it's on boost :) Cheers miller
  12. Ok well I half locked my old points dizzy so it only gets 10* mechanical advance now so I set the idle to 15* ad it hits 25* at full revs I no not perfect but I wanted to see what it would do Still huge flat spot so I put it down to badly tuned webber and the fact the webber stays ice cold constantly I mean like builds up condensation cold it's actually wet to touch the pipe that runs from the carby to the charger I won't be tuning the carby as in a week or so the fuel system is getting gutted and going straight LPG with a gas research throttle body and getting tuned and might get the elec dizzy regraghed aat the same time But just wondering your thoughts about getting around the anti-warming affect on the carby!! Cheers Miller
  13. Weill charger is on piped up and cars running with vac removed But!!!! There's always a but with these things Huge flat spot from about idle to 3k under load so it's crap to drive So I will look into the timing again see if that's te issue or it could be the carby Any thoughts ? Cheers Miller
  14. Spray it all with WD40 and wrap in glad wrap that's what I do mate works a treat
  15. Oh well I won't be doing that idea lol thanks for the explenation mate that helped out heaps now I no what they do cheers Ecu looks alright but worried about doing the lot from scratch but if it comes down to it I will have to Cheers guys Miller
  16. I wouldn't have a clue hahaha So this is te plan for tonight Lock the mechanical advance in my old points dizzy and run the vac advance from the carby because it's suck through ad map out the advance it gets with just that Then with rhe elec dizzy I'll just remove the vac line and see what advance rhe mechanical does n see what's best to run
  17. Yeh this hole dizzy thing is doing my head in and seems like a pain in my a$$ What's mega squirt like to work with?
  18. Yeh looks like the same one as you I was wondering how much advance does the vac advance give? For egzample if I locked the mechanical and ran the vac from the intake side of the S/C would it give much advance over the revs?
  19. So what should I do? Sounds like you have the know how Cheers
  20. Well it's up to you and how you think I think "butchers" do good turning stinking cows into t-bone steaks and such but greenies might disagree Some stripped cars are awesome some are crap it all comes down to what you think is good and how well you are going to do it mate Cheers Miller
  21. I could deff wire one up I just thought they would be pretty pricy but thats cheap so it could be done The kit makes around 5psi I believe but yet to test on my car
  22. I'm getting a complete kit that was made for another motor carby brakets and eveything bar dizzy so I'm thinking disconnect vac advance put timing back to 8* as it's up on 12* atm with 98 octain fuel I will be going to the dyno day in sep to get it tested that's y it's getting fitted to my car so I will have a tweak there I guess Thanks guys
  23. This supercharger is only on loan to me so there is no real point in getting it dyno tuned What if I block the vac advance? And leave the mechanical advance? I just don't want to blow hg's
  24. Hey guys going to be pumping a small bit of boost into my 4k looked into what people have done and some guys are locking the dizzy and others are saying you must or you will blow head gaskets Soooooo what do you guys say? And what sort of timing should I go for? Also it's a 5k elec dizzy Cheers Miller
