  3. ok so i managed to kill the 4k a little earlier than i planned so iv picked up a 5k to get me though till iv got the ca18 conversion sorted. thanks to nathan (RIDDLA) for driving me around and emotional suport when the po po tried to impound my mums car (vx commodore) for aparently drifting..dude its a single pegger with directoional tyres on a wet road..anywho will be pulling the 4k out tomorow after work and geting the 5k ready to drop in along with a weber to hang off the side =D

  12. cheers mate. Iv been doin bit of research and found that info out wich I'm happy i don't have 2 hack the trans tunnel up. Just the engine mounts I'm concerned about
  13. exactly. And also just discovered the trusty 4k has popped the head gasket so even beter excuse for and upgrade.
  14. reason I'm goin CA is I'm geting complete motor and accessories for free and there more readily available. Id love an SR for sure but out of my budget. I'm hoping that some1 makes pre fabbed mounts to save the headache.

  20. I'm doing CA18 conversion also. so with the r31 mounts do you just drill holes to suit on the kframe?
  21. still for a 20 year old engine you wouldnt expect to pay 600+ right? especially since theve usually got around 250,000 on the clock..and who can so no to a free CA18DET?? =D oh and il be in geelong today jake shall i bring coils with me?
  22. so after a talk with a mate of mine i have acquired a CA18DET which will make its way into Neila in the not to distant future. due to the ridiculous money people wont for 4age's and associated parts i can prob do the CA conversion for c cheaper as il be doing all the work myself. any tips or suggestions welcome =]
  23. I'm contemplating doing ca18det conversion in my ksev I'm geting a complete motor out of an exa tho so are they harder to wire up?
