  1. This includes anyone and everyone who drives. Whether you are a noob driver, a grandpa driver, a weekend warrior, someone who wants to get into motorsport, or an old geezer, doesn't matter. There are always skills to be learnt, talents to be refined. I still learn heaps everytime I go, and I'm meant to be an instructor :P
  2. Stickers are cool, maybe mine can even say "AE35" or "Fook is Cool" or "Who da Man" or "I was once a treehouse..." or something stupid on the background... :P Even better, I recall Nick having some of that funky hologram-like sticker material, now THAT would be trippy :D
  3. How do you get the needles to come off without breaking them? I keep breaking needles :P
  4. I have spoken to Ted, he's trying to get some dates from the center. Basically we can only run a day time session. If anyone's interested, there is also going to be a full day driver training session (skidpan + lvma) happening sometime (dates pending), and also a full day ladies day happening (again dates pending). I would HIGHLY recommend these to anyone who's looking to improve their driving, and have a bit of fun.
  5. Wow, it's not round :P I should do this with my Corolla too, then maybe I can get the "correct" speed on the speedo (at the moment it's all out cause my diff ratios are weird)
  6. When do you want to have the skidpan day? Rough dates? Would help. Also, if any of you who are thinking of coming are getting some exhaust work done between now and then, *please please* consider getting a quieter system put on. I can honestly tell you up front now that some of you will have issues with noise. The new noise restrictions imposed on the center are quite strict, and if deemed too loud, you won't be allowed to run. I run the pan in 3rd gear because my car is too loud. We had a GTiR on the pan the other day, he put a silencer in his exhaust (one of those bolt on tips), and we still had to insist that he stay below 5000RPM...
  7. Which Ted? :P
  8. I was welding with shorts :P You'd think I'd learn after awhile...
  9. Do you need help organising the dates etc? I do work for Sideline :P
  10. I feel the urge. Let's stop talking, and start doing something about this! :P
  11. Thermometer wedged in my window currently reads (at 6.41am) "-1". Had to wake up at 5am this morning to put on some socks, a jumper and a beanie and go back to bed! Might buy some fleece booties today... On another offtopic note, saw a CB Lancer GSR yesterday (like my old one) with 14" Datto turbines (RWD dish wheels). Looked... kinda funky actually :P Needed flares :D
  12. Is it so hard to believe?
  13. Well, on cruise, the Mini is more economical than any of the cars I own. But then again, on what it's worse than any car I've ever owned...
  14. Hehe, no worries. I should get a rollaclub sticker and leave it on his bonnet next time I see it parked around the corner from my house (on south station road)
  15. Ah of course, another half :P I don't have one of those...
  16. Wow, that's excellent! I'm struggling on $250/week. Maybe I need a new job too.
  17. If I got a KE35 drivers door, I'd lighten my car and make it go faster :P
  18. I got 540+km out of about 45-50L in the Camry :P
  19. ancullen: It's really nice not paying rent though. Bank owes my arse for the next 29.5 years. Woo hoo...
  20. In theory, it has to be a sealed system, so that any crank case vapours (with or without oil in it) go back into the engine, and not vent into the atmosphere. I think most people don't really care, I've even got a mate who just dumps it directly out the bottom of the engine bay... and coming from a V8 Walkinshaw, that's a fair bit of crank case vapours, you can even *see* the vapours coming out... It's a bit irresponsible though, poor motorcyclist behind you gets to run on your oil slick...
  21. But is cheap cheap $2 sucky sucky long time. Walking and catching the train is all good, but it's nice to also have a car that drives and goes places, for when you don't feel like catching the train.
  22. Or you can use one of the many engines you've got in that shed out the back :P
  23. As long as it's a sealed system, yes it should be legal.
  24. In relation to the little Toyota Sport 800 coupe... Cool. $1.40 car, I wonder how much it's worth now...
  25. After you see the sort of crap that ends up in the catch can, you feel better that it ended up there and not anywhere else :P
