  1. I used to have both yellow books, now I only have one. Seem to have lost the body one... I don't specifically need any part of it at the moment, but it'll be nice to have. And besides, you have friends in Oz, I'm sure something could be worked out
  2. I've just gotten a workshop manual from diymanuals on eBay, and in typical ebay-style feedback, "AAA+++" diymanuals They don't have the workshop manual for my KE35, or I'd get one too. These appear to be the actual Toyota electronic workshop manuals (Mitchell Repair?), has all wiring diagrams, torque settings, troubleshooting and just about everything else about the car too :D
  3. No idea. Best way to find out? Try them on  If it helps at all, your KE70 is 4x114.3
  4. Haha, I was so correct in guessing you were from Malaysia  Welcome. You've come to the right place to look for K engine info. Now you just need to become really good friends with the Search function :D Always remember, MALAYSIA BOLEH!
  5. So, will we have a fulli sik stereo install in Marcia before All Toyota Day? We want to see lots of fibreglass, neon lights and black light LEDs!!! Who needs lowered springs when you can just add more weight to the car :D
  6. JB Hifi is a good place. As is Wow Sight and Sound. And all other places that sell things cheap
  7. Oh hey look, you've got the same mirrors as me. How do you find them? I can't seem to get enough adjustment out of my passenger side one to be of much use at all (I end up staring at the sky, somewhere off in the distance to the left...)
  8. CONGRATULATIONS  :D :D
  9. I don't even know what a "3rd stage head" or a "2nd stage engine" is. Everytime I think of the word stage I think of like somewhere people perform or make a fool of themselves, and rocket boosters falling off space ships...
  10. I think I just keep buying rooted gearboxes. Doug: I have looked into upgrading, and it will be a very expensive exercise. I can get a fully rebuilt (new gears, syncros, bearings etc) stock T50 for less money, so will probably go that way before I look into an upgrade, if it came down to that. At least then I'll know I have a good box, and if it does break then I'll know it's really something I'm doing (cause obviously with 69hp I really shouldn't be able to break a good T50). Ideally I'd like to get a close ratio box, but hahaha, money doesn't grow on trees. Not the trees in my backyard anyway...
  11. I don't think there's any way I can do the events I do well, and be any "nicer" to the gearbox (and if there is, someone please point it out to me). I do use the clutch when I change, and I generally heel-toe most of the time. So I guess that's it, I'm getting an auto
  12. I don't think I drive particularly hard on my gearbox, if anything at all I'm a lot harder on the brakes. The strangest thing is the first 3 boxes lost 4th gear. I mean, who breaks 4th gear? You can't even dump 4th gear...
  13. I'm not sure if anyone has posted this up before (is this the link Doug posted up ages ago?), but came across this: Tech Edge
  14. Not a fan of the wheels or yellow framed grille, but gosh that's a neat looking car
  15. I definately recommend Pedders Geebung, they've provided me with nothing but excellent service and advice. However. Virtually all the bushes in my car are from Fulcrum. Simply because Fulcrum tend to sell things (including steering racks) cheaper than Pedders... BTW, if you're a member of a car club you get a discount from Fulcrum.
  16. I haven't had any luck whatsoever with T50 boxes (on my 5th box in 12 months, and it's sounding like it wants to die too), but that's probably just me, because everyone else I talk to hasn't had any problems. My car was dynoed at 69hp at the wheels.
  17. Ah well, I now have nyloc nuts, and spring washers, and I even used loctite too. Can you tell I'm really paranoid about stuff falling off my car now? Admittedly the spring washers aren't in the best condition (they didn't have any the right size, such is life shopping for hardware in the city), they aren't too far off from flat but they're still sort of springy, so I guess they'll still do something. I'd really like a tailshaft loop. If for nothing else, then for more peace of mind. I worry too much. And I whinge too. In my very untrained eye, my uni joins look ok. But I really wouldn't have a clue. They're there, and they don't look like they're about to fall out. Diff appears to have a bit of play in it that I haven't noticed before, not sure why. Hope it wasn't damaged the other day, that would suck a lot. Have noticed that I seem to be unable to spin up both wheels now, but then again I also seem to have trouble spinning any wheels at all. Maybe putting the exhaust manifold bolts back on (3 of them were loose, along with all the rear rocker cover bolts) took away some of the power  Or maybe my tyres have mysteriously gotten more sticky.
  18. They're supposed to be grade 8.8.
  19. Someone on Twincam16 recommended using nyloc nuts for tailshaft bolts. With nyloc nuts, would you still use spring washers?
  20. Yes his work is pretty good. My front spoiler is also a Ken job. I don't know about now, but he used to take ages to get anything done though. I've heard that with Nikki now doing the books he's a fair bit better.
  21. justin: Is that the streeter kit?
  22. Has anyone ever had to replace one of these? I've been told that AE86 uni joints are non-serviceable items, so the entire yoke etc has to be replaced, or the old uni machined out (both of which = lots of money)? I've got a strange vibration in the car since the incident that I'm still trying to pin point, it's speed related, so I'm guessing it'll be wheels, diff, tailshaft, or something in between. I've gotten the wheels rebalanced, so that *shouldn't* be it. I keep having nightmares of my tailshaft letting go, and considering I don't have a tailshaft loop that could get quite unpleasant quite quickly. I'm going to replace all the tailshaft bolts just for peace of mind (they were a bit old and yucky), just wondering about the unis...
  23. I'm so glad we don't get too many of these sort of posts on Rollaclub  From Toymods thread
  24. Umm. Right. Oh well, it'll probably make the car rather front heavy...
  25. Why a 308? And what sort of "racing" are you intending to do?
