  1. looks promising mate. subbed
  2. extremely Po'ed mate... think its either the gearbox from that yellow 'wrecker' or the new clutch.. something failed, and failed bad.. its like the 5th or 6th time this motor/box has come out in a week... over it, at the moment.. taking a break... :-(
  3. thanks mate. saved to PC
  4. love those rims mate..! nice size, too
  5. lol, when you take those pics, Rob? and yeah spot on, Jono RE the tailshaft
  6. lol I'm excited
  7. i love the work you did on that camper mate. followed your progress on your thread. that benchtop came up a treat did Rob and Amber get there ok?
  8. as soon as you get back and have a day free, mate, I'll bring her down..! whenever suits ya. cruise FTW..!
  9. lol :-) hey guys so bummed i couldnt get there.. but rob and I with the came close to getting her ready for the trip. defo next time..! need pics, stories and more..!
  10. we got her running but it needs a tune, and a good shortish crusie to try get rid of the cobwebs, methinks. Rob and I agree she needs more time to iron out the bugs, so I make the tough decision not to go on the cruise/camp, and focus on getting her sorted. lucky i stayed home, i reckon, as she ran hot going to the japanese gardens(about 3 kms) for a few pics. will up more pics of the drivetrain conversion when i can. thanks for your time. and thankyou Joel, Rob and Dave..! really helped out these past few weeks
  11. heya mate. photos on the way, now. i ran with the ke70 cable, fitted no trouble. was lucky i had the donor car there for the bits needed, tho, like the pedal box, the little clutch cable 'spout' thingo in the firewall, etc i tried the conversion with a ke70 manual, but the mount wouldnt work, id have had to modify the x member too much, as the mount(cradle type) was too different. not to mention the shifter was out by this much, and didnt want to take out that much meat KE70 shifter location so i went with the ke55 5 spd outta the yellow wags i had in the yard. started putting her back together again.... then my tailshaft was too short.. so, with google as my friend, not to mention the FAQs and a few old posts asking the same thing, I rang Joel for his advice, as he had done a fair few of these. now, before i rang him, i went through mine and Robs collection of them, all from ke corollas, most different once again, he says, "rock down mate, I'll hook ya up" wont go into detail, as you mightnt want it public, but you know what you did mate, I OWE YOU BIG TIME so, yesterday was my son's birthday, i race to Brissie after work, get the bits off Joel to get her sorted, and race back in time for Sizzlers(my son's fave 'restaurant') for tea. i then have an early night, set my alarm and get up early to try get her sorted before the Rolla Club camping trip today. Rob rocks over with the family, and we get into it. Joel's bits get the driveline sorted <3 and we take her for its maiden voyage to get some carby clean, etc
  12. you, with this post, officially won today's inerwebz..!

  15. hiya mate. will let ya know tonight RE clutch cable as I'm about to fit them later on. i have a ke70, ke 10 and a ke 36 cable to choose from. hoping the 70 fits as its the newer looking of them
  16. sweet mate, thanks heaps
  17. it sorta lines up by the looks of it, mate, just need to drill 2 new holes to suit the ke70 g'box mount, I'm hoping? will know more in the morning with light
  18. tyres fitted to the '82 626 RWD steelies the difference in rolling diameter, new rim is closest to the camera going from Auto to manual, i had to knock out the blank in the firewall to accommodate the clutch cable lucky i had the white donor car for the proper clutch cable housing getting it in place mounted, sealed and undercoated lightened flywheel clutch assembly fitted got the engine/box in, but the gearbox crossmember doesnt line up. also the ke 70 shifter is further down the tunnel than i at first hoped. will need to take some meat out of the tunnel. ran out of light and gave up for the night will take more pics tomorrow
  19. Next time, beers, bbq and and overnighter, methinks. Good fun having a chin wag with a fellow Rolla lover, mate. Rock around anytime
