Dougy...! holy sht..! went down to Brissie to see Allan Taylor (RSCRA) i had sent him an email with the car's and my info, on friday. i get down there, he has the letters for the rego, my member card, a heap of newsletters, some classic toyota info(fcking awesome), among other things. oh and a sweet rising sun member grill badge. think i spent over an hour chatting to him. coulda stayed all night, he was that easy to get along with. checked out his Toyota Will(i'd never heard of one b4). anyone thinking of joining a club, run by a toyota guru, and all round nice guy, give him a call. website coming soon, he hopes Allan Taylor (RSCRA) 0416 312189 so, i then leave there to pick up my 5k. also got the honour of seeing Joel's amazing 4 door...! wow. this thing, and in fact, all his other rides, make me want to not bother with a 'rides thread'. this car is a thing of true beauty, and when we were talking about her, and how rare they are, i actually got choked up a little. they remind me of the Sakura, in a way. they bloom for 3 days, wilt and die.. many people liken them to our lives. so yeah, it really got me thinking of how we really need to look into preserving these 'cherry blossoms'. i read in one of RSCRA newsletters about Tim Holland trying to build a Japanese car museum near Brissie somewhere? I, for one, would like to look into supporting something like that, maybe as a club, if anyone is keen? so, tomorrow morning she gets registered, tomorrow arvo, the 5k transplant begins..! once again, thanks Doug for pointing me to Allan

thanks Dougy..! ok, so got my extractors and 2" sports exhaust fitted today, kept the tip looking original. got that finished 9am then raced to the RWC inspection where i told him it was going on club rego, also told him a little about the car, where it came from, etc. seemed genuinely interested. called me this arvo to say it had passed and just needed a tune, and possibly a kit thru the carby, as it had a dead spot off idle. so, all it pretty much needed for the roady was the exhaust fixed..! should be rego'd monday..! will take pics tomorrow

totally agree guys..! and Stu,thats a shame RE your TKD training, how are your knees? as for my story, its a long and painful one, TBH. i'd rather not bore you, especially on this thread, lol. i will say, tho, that regardless of the years, i am an eternal white belt. still a noob. but yeah, I'm a true fan of the arts and always keen to chat about them, but not on a public forum so much

its fairly obvious to people who understand the game, what happened firstly, you can't reason with a person in that condition, what we call, people with behavioural issues, mentally he wants an encounter, wants it to escalate. Ryan spoke to him calmly throughout, hoping it might lower his aggression. it didnt work first encounter, the guy, after abusing them for a while, then throwing his jacket at them, and got in Ryan's face, so he took him down and mounted him, told him to calm down. the guys own mate was the one with his foot on his neck. you can hear ryan asking him to remove his foot, while asking the guy mounted to calm down. ryan lets him up, the dude's ego was bruised and still wouldnt go, ryan took his gear outside in a hope that would work. at which point, Ryan, and TBH, anyone who has dealt with this situation before, can appreciate, Ryan escorts him outside, take his back and chokes him out, laying him on his side, and waits for him to wake up. the police officer at the end, questioned everyone involved, and Ryan and his crew were allowed to return to finish their meal. done some yourself mate? thats great. where at? i will probably know your coach edit: melb west? John will's or one of the lesser known clubs down that way?

http://youtu.be/GJX9QnrZtfc if you don't know Ryan Hall, google him. dude is scary on the mat, and one of the best instructors out there, really makes sense to 'you' whether you are a white belt in BJJ, or black. right after one of his seminars, the 50/50 team and some other instructors are eating a local join t when a guy rocks up asking for a light, they advise him they are non smokers. it escalates from there truly love how this was handled. at the end of the clip, the guy and his friend rock back to the table, apologize and pay for their meals

hi mate. can't go wrong with any rolla TBH. i love the fact you can rip a motor out and replace it with your bare hands, no lifter, in a few hrs, lol and to rebuild a nice 'k' motor costs less than say, taking the head off a later model car. they are the 'new to car scene' and the 'classic car lover' 's type of car all rolled into one..! if you are looking for one, you can not beat Andy's for sale here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/58552-1980-corolla-xx-coupe-only-135000-km/ its like a new car..! and welcome to the forum mate

thanks mate.! and yeah, got a sad email tonite, i apped for historic rego thru toyomods and got the reply "Hi Zowie, The KE10 looks awesome and appears to be suitable for historic rego. Only problem we have is that Toymods can only do historic rego in NSW Kind Regards," so yeah i need another club to go thru guys. any suggestions for clubs i can try? can't find a website for rising sun, and I'm sure i grabbed a flyer from the last show at Banyo.. oh well..
